are also given a lot of freedom,
and our knowledge of customer
buying behaviour and the NZ
market is very much valued.”
The Great Wall and HAVAL
range of Utes and SUVs are
not only catching the eye of
customers with their design
and construction but are available
at extremely competitive
prices. Sean and Aaron
are thrilled with the customer
response to the brands since the
showroom opened.
Iconic family business
In 1988 Sean and Aaron’s parents,
John and Cherie, formed
pre-owned vehicle business
Keppler Vehicle Imports and
began trading. The business
quickly evolved during its early
years and started importing
from the UK and Ireland and
wholesaling to a large number
of dealers in NZ.
Keppler Vehicle Imports
was one of the first companies
to import more than 10,000
vehicles and successfully set up
a large number of dealers who
are still operating today. The
company has been involved in
service and compliance centres
and employed hundreds of people
throughout the years.
Today, the company is proud
of its extensive history in the
automotive industry, and the
combined team has invaluable
experience in vehicle wholesale,
buying and importation,
mechanical expertise and preowned
vehicle distribution.
Sean said it was always his
intention to join the business
and add his passion and expertise
to the team, and he did so
three years ago.
“I’ve always wanted to be
involved in the company and
had a strong passion for this
industry. We have ambitious
and exciting goals that I want
to see the business achieve,”
he says.
Sean had plans to grow the
company to include new vehicle
brands and the new direction
was realised when they began
trading Great Wall vehicles and
discovered their popularity. The
team began investigating Great
Wall as a new vehicle dealership
option.
Sean and Aaron, along with
the mentorship of their father
John, successfully secured the
Great Wall and HAVAL franchise
deal.
Rebranding to Keppler
Alert glass is pleased to have
been instrumental in the
initial design and subsequent
manufacture and installation and
glazing of the new joinery in the
new Keppler building.
Before
Heavy duty laminated glass was chosen for the glazing.

building and two new franchises.
