named to honor roll
Benet Academy recently
announced its honor roll
for the second semester of
2017-2018. First Honors are
given to students whose academic
average falls between
92-100, and Second Honors
for those students between
85-91.

Grace Call, of Orland

and be enrolled as a fulltime
student. Grace is majoring
in bio-chemistry/predental
and is complete her
degree fall term 2018 senior
year.

Allison Boyce, of Orland
Park, was named to the Illinois
Central College dean’s
list for the spring 2018 semester.
Students receiving
the dean’s list honor earned
a 3.5-3.99 grade point average
on a 4.0 scale.

This anti-bullying-themed
family run/walk is focusing
on raising money to provide
buddy benches to the schools
playgrounds. A buddy bench
is designed to promote kindness
by eliminating loneliness
and fostering friendship
on the playground.

complete scholarly research
projects in any field of study.
Students are selected after a
competitive application process
that includes phone and
on-campus interviews.
During their freshman
year, students complete an
intensive series of courses
on technology fundamentals,
problem solving, project
management and research
fundamentals. These essential
skills enable students
to quickly learn and adapt
to new knowledge domains
and technical environments
required for faculty-directed
research projects.
Throughout their sophomore
to senior years, the
Randall Rsearch Scholars
are to interview with faculty
and select a project to work
on as a research assistant
with a faculty member who
will act as project director.
Students typically will work
on projects in areas related
to their academic discipline;
however, they may elect to
work in an unrelated field
to challenge themselves and
broaden their exposure to
academic research.
