Alex Hirschfield is a senior
star linebacker and wrestler at
Sandburg High School.
Is your favorite sport
football or wrestling?
It’s close, but I have to go
with football.
If you can line up against
anyone in football and
wrestling anyone, who
would it be against?
In football, Tom Brady. He
is the GOAT, and it would be a
great experience. In wrestling,
Bryce Meredith. He has a unique
wrestling style and would be fun
to roll around with.
Are there any
embarrassing moments you
had in either sport?
During my first ever down
of high school football I kind
of just got caught up in the
moment and froze up when
the ball was snapped. Then
somebody on the offense just
cleaned me.
Do you have a favorite
pregame pump-up song?
“The Pretender” by the Foo
Fighters
Is there something people
don’t know about you?
I’m pretty good at ping-pong.
I haven’t lost a three-game series
in a long time.
Is there a movie you could
watch over and over
without getting bored with
it?
“The Benchwarmers”. I can
recite every line from that movie
at any given time.
How about a TV show that
you could watch over and
over?
“Friday Night Lights”. It captures
the high school football
atmosphere really well and has
a great story line. Plus, who
doesn’t love Billy Riggins?
