İşaretçiler: this, that, these, those
İşlev
This, that, these, those işaretçileri bir nesnenin konuşmacıya referansla nerede olduğunu
belirtir.
This (tekil) ve these (çoğul) konuşmacıya yakın olan nesne ve kişi için kullanılır. That (tekil) ve
those (çoğul) ise konuşmacıya nisbeten daha uzak nesne ve kişi için kullanılır. Aşağıdaki
örneklerdeki gibi fiziksel mesafeyi ifade edebilir:
Who owns that house? (uzak)
Is this John's house? (yakın)
Ya da sıradaki örneklerdeki gibi psikolojik mesafeyi ifade edebilir:

a) İsimden önce.
b) 'One' kelimesinden önce.
c) Bir adjective + noun'dan önce.
d) İsmin anlaşılır olduğu durumlarda tek başına.
