HAT’S OFF to Keri and Dave Glassenbury<br />
for their great initiative in Halswell (see<br />
page 8).<br />
They have set up the Sharing Shack and<br />
as the name says it’s all about sharing.<br />
The shack is a food shelf, where people<br />
can donate food and for those who need it, they can take it.<br />
“The whole idea is, if there is anybody out there struggling<br />
in any way, you don’t have to put a thing in there, just take the<br />
food,” Keri told reporter Anan Zaki.<br />
Keri has been a community helper in Halswell for a couple of<br />
years and the latest project looks like a winner.<br />
The shack is outside the community hub. So if you have food<br />
to donate to others in need that’s the place to go.<br />
And if you’re struggling to feed the kids, drop by. Just leave<br />
some for others in the same boat.<br />
