Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween “No one does Halloween
like Slappy.” Halloween comes to life in a brand-new
comedy adventure based on R.L. Stine’s 400-million-selling
series of books. The sequel to the first live-action Goosebumps
movie from 2015. Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween
is directed by American filmmaker Ari Sandel.
The Oath is about Chris (Ike Barinholtz), a high-strung
24-hour progressive news junkie, and his more levelheaded
wife Kai (Tiffany Haddish). Learning that citizens are being
asked to sign a loyalty oath to the President, their reaction
is disbelief, followed by idealistic refusal. But as the Thanksgiving
deadline to sign approaches, the combination of sparring
relatives, Chris’s agitation and the unexpected arrival
of two government agents (John Cho and Billy Magnussen)
sends an already tense holiday dinner gathering completely
off the rails.
Halloween Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as
Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael
Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since
she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night
four decades ago. This new Halloween movie is directed by
acclaimed American filmmaker David Gordon Green.
Serenity is a daringly original, sexy, stylized thriller from
Steven Knight. Baker Dill (Matthew McConaughey) is a fishing
boat captain leading tours off a tropical enclave called
Plymouth Island. His quiet life is shattered, however, when
his ex-wife Karen (Anne Hathaway) tracks him down with a
desperate plea for help. She begs Dill to save her - and their
young son - from her new, violent husband (Jason Clarke) by
taking him out to sea on a fishing excursion, only to throw
him to the sharks and leave him for dead. Karen’s appearance
thrusts Dill back into a life he’d tried to forget, and as
he struggles between right and wrong, his world is plunged
into a new reality that may not be all that it seems.
Hunter Killer Deep under the Arctic Ocean, American
submarine Captain Joe Glass (Gerard Butler) is on the hunt
for a U.S. sub in distress when he discovers a secret Russian
Captain Glass must now assemble an elite group of Navy
SEALs to rescue the kidnapped Russian president and sneak
through enemy waters to stop WWIII. Also stars Gary Oldman,
Common, Linda Cardellini, Caroline Goodall, Michael
Nyqvist, Ryan McPartlin, and Toby Stephens.
Johnny English Strikes Again Rowan Atkinson (who
also plays Mr. Bean) is back again as Johnny English, the
“man with few skills” and wacky, loser spy who helps save
Britain, again. This time, a cyber-attack reveals the identity
of all active undercover agents in Britain, and English (of
course) is the only one who can help them get everything
back in order. The cast in this includes Emma Thompson,
Olga Kurylenko, Ben Miller, Jake Lacy, Adam James, and Miranda
Hennessy.
