Cultural and Linguistic Diversity (CALD)<br />
We will describe the<br />
demographic profile of our<br />
workforce at every level<br />
across the organisation.<br />
We will use this data to<br />
understand the cultural<br />
diversity profile of our<br />
workforce.<br />
• We will nominate a CALD Project<br />
Worker, who will establish<br />
a CALD Advisory Group to<br />
represent clinical and non-clinical<br />
professional groups. We will address<br />
individual and structural issues<br />
impacting recruitment, retention<br />
and career development for our<br />
CALD employees.<br />
• We will ensure our Patient<br />
Experience Survey includes<br />
effective, accessible mechanisms<br />
for our CALD patients to<br />
provide feedback.<br />
Disability<br />
We will increase our<br />
employees’ knowledge<br />
and skills with respect to<br />
working with people with<br />
physical, cognitive, social<br />
and sensory disabilities<br />
by appointing a Disability<br />
Liaison Officer.<br />
• We will survey patients, visitors<br />
and employees with disabilities<br />
to ensure barriers to access, care<br />
and employment are identified<br />
and addressed.<br />
• We will develop and include coding<br />
for people with intellectual disability<br />
and/ or cognitive impairment.<br />
This will enable tracking of patient<br />
journeys, patient experience, health<br />
outcomes and service usage by<br />
people with a disability.<br />
