What is Christmas without Handel’s Messiah? The Chancel Choir of St.
Peter’s United Methodist Church in Katy invites you to their annual
Messiah Singalong in the Sanctuary. Please come to sing or just to listen
to this beautiful music. There will be soloists and a full orchestra. There is
no charge. Copies of the sheet music will be available for loan or for sale.

Christmas Eve Worship
At Living Stones
Living Stones Church invites community members to join in celebrating
the birth of Christ on Christmas Eve, Monday, December 24 th at 5 PM,
at Tays Junior High, 26721 Hawk’s Prairie Blvd. in Katy. The familyfriendly,
music-filled service features familiar carols and other Christmas
favorites, as well as a special message from Pastor Scott Rawlings. A
nursery is available for children up to 2 years of age, while pre-school
children and older will have worship seat activities and a snack.
The service concludes with Silent Night and the lighting of luminaries for
a truly inspirational celebration of the most special gift ever given, the

“BEHOLD, A SAVIOR!” Sunday, December 9 th
“Behold, a Savior!” is a portrait of a promise and a portrait of the
fulfillment of that promise. Throughout this musical, Jay Rouse and Rose
Aspinall skillfully weave scripture and dramatic first-hand accounts of the
birth of Jesus into beloved carols and original songs. Each monologue
and song will take you on a journey from the longing of Zechariah, the
joy and acceptance of Mary and the courage of Joseph to the accounts
of the shepherds and wise men. . Let us inspire and prepare you for the
celebration of the birth of our Lord with both familiar Christmas carols
and newly-composed pieces at 8, 9:15 and 11 AM in the church sanctuary.
The musical presentation will feature the Living Word Choir accompanied
by a chamber orchestra.
CHRISTMAS WORSHIP
Living Word would like to invite the community to join them this
Christmas to celebrate the birth of Christ. A Pre-Christmas Vespers
service will be held on December 21 st at 7 PM for families that will not
be in town for Christmas Eve. The service will include familiar Christmas
hymns, readings, communion and special music of the season in a liveunplugged
setting. The service will conclude with a candle lighting.
On Christmas Eve at 1 PM, there will be a Jazz Christmas Eve afternoon
vespers. The service will feature a jazz sextet playing unique arrangements
for the season, congregational Christmas carols and a special Christmas
jazz communion. A festive candle lit atmosphere will prepare one and all
for this joyous season! At 3 PM, children ages 2 years through 3 rd grade
(and their families) are invited to an Interactive Christmas Eve worship
service. This interactive service will allow children to “live” the story of
Christmas. A Contemporary Christmas Eve worship service featuring
contemporary music will be held at 5 PM. Candlelight Christmas Eve
Worship services featuring traditional music, the choir, bell choir and a
brass ensemble will be held at 7 and 11 PM.
Katy Christian Women’s Connection
KCWC is part of Stonecroft, a ministry for women which provides Bible
Studies, Prayer Connections and fellowship luncheons around the US.
Katy Christian Women also sponsors monthly Prayer Coffees. These are
held on the second Thursday of each month. New Bible Studies started
