A complainant reported that after purchasing a new camera, they were walking to their parked vehicle. While walking to the vehicle the complainant stated that a black colored sedan followed them, and when they arrived at their vehicle, a male subject exited the sedan and demanded the bag which contained the camera. The complainant turned the bag over to the male subject who then entered the passenger side of the black colored sedan, then drove away. In other police news: Dec. 6 • Burglary to a vehicle was reported at 7:12 a.m. in the 900 block of Willow Road after the complainant returned to their parked vehicle and found the passenger window broken out and a purse missing from the front seat. • A complaint of criminal damage to a vehicle was reported at 12:11 p.m. in the 1100 block of Skokie Boulevard at Life Time Fitness after the complainant returned to their vehicle and found scratches on their vehicle from an unknown subject. Dec. 3 • A residential burglary was reported in the 200 block of Old Post Road at 11 p.m. after the complainant returned home following a dinner engagement and found that unknown subject(s) ransacked their residence, and took various items. • A complaint of theft was made in the 4000 block of Pamela Lane after unknown subject(s) removed a package which was delivered to their residence without their permission. Nov. 30 • A complaint of fraud was reported in the 600 block of Dundee Road after a complainant reported that one of the company’s employees purchased several thousand dollars in iTunes gift cards after receiving, what they believed, was an authorized email from the company’s chief operating officer. The email was not sent by any authorized members of the company. • Identity theft was reported at 9:19 a.m. in the 3000 block of Koepke Road after the complainant reported an unknown person(s) had opened several credit accounts in their name without their permission. • Identity theft was reported in the 3800 block of Normandy Lane at 2:31 p.m. after the complainant reported receiving notifications that their credit accounts had been compromised and that several unauthorized charges had been made to their accounts. • A report of identity theft was reported at 3:15 p.m. in the 2100 block of White Oaks Drive after the complainant reported that they received a letter that a credit account was opened in their name but had not opened or authorized any new accounts. Nov. 29 • A report of residential burglary was reported in the 1000 block of Sussez Drive at 8:41 p.m. after the complainant returned home and found the front door open, and various pieces of jewelry missing.
