1. INTRODUCTION<br />
This <strong>Technical</strong> Manual has been produced by the team at <strong>Edenhall</strong>,<br />
drawing on over 60 years of knowledge and experience in the<br />
manufacture of concrete bricks in the United Kingdom, to assist<br />
industry professionals in the design, specification and application<br />
of the bricks for all aspects of buildings and construction.<br />
The Manual is laid out in a simple format for easy<br />
access to the various sections covering the products<br />
manufactured by <strong>Edenhall</strong>, with their specifications,<br />
characteristics and standards, through functional<br />
performance and design, ending up with practical site<br />
guidance. More comprehensive technical information<br />
on each section is referenced throughout the manual<br />
and summarised in the Appendix as: Brick <strong>Technical</strong><br />
Data Sheets; Brick <strong>Technical</strong> Bulletins; Health & Safety<br />
Data Sheets and “Questions & Answers”. All the<br />
documents are available as downloads on our website<br />
www.edenhall.co.uk.<br />
This Manual, together with the supporting material on<br />
our website, is designed to be the reference point for<br />
advice and guidance on concrete bricks manufactured<br />
and supplied by <strong>Edenhall</strong>. If you require further details or<br />
information please contact the Company where someone<br />
will be happy to help. Please note that not all concrete<br />
bricks are the same and therefore this Manual may not be<br />
relevant to products offered by other organisations.<br />
The information and guidance contained in this <strong>Technical</strong><br />
Manual is regularly reviewed as part of <strong>Edenhall</strong>’s<br />
continuous development and improvement programme.<br />
