‘Ahinime’ which is best translated as ‘Plentiful, abundant
and a month of enough. This year’s October in Ghana
was seriously packed with interesting and entertaining
events and also captivating trends from our celebrities.
THE RADIO TELEVISION
PERSONALITY AWARDS (RTP)
The RTP was organized by Big Events Ghana which
annually rewards radio /Television personalities in
Ghana. This year it was held in the Accra International
Conference Centre (AICC) on October 6, 2018.
The event witnessed electrifying performances from
Okomfoɔ Kwadee, Wendy Shay and Kuami Eugene.40
TV/Radio personalities won which made RTP
Personality of The Year to be Stacy Amoateng, Media
Group of The Year to be Despite Media Group and
TV Station of the Year: United Television (UTV)
REIGN ALBUM LAUNCH
Fans who were at Shatta
Wale’s Reign album launch
which came off at the Fantasy
Dome on Saturday 13, must
have thought they were there
only to enjoy the music so
they did not anticipate the
huge surprise their 'King' had
in store for them.
After he had given all he could
to his fans and the show was
nearing an end, Shatta Wale
decided to give his baby
mama, Michy the chance to
perform her latest song,
‘Spend the Money’ and while
she was on stage, he brought
his two children, Majesty and
Cherisa
stage.

Just when the applause from
the fans was about to die
down, Shatta started talking,
“Babes, you know I love you
right, I have something I want
to say to Michy, for me, I just
want to ask her one question,”
he said.
The statement confused
everyone including Shatta
Michy but to her surprise,
Shatta took a small box from
a friend, opened it, went down
on one knee and asked Michy
to be his wife.

SARKODIE’S
DISS SONG TO
SHATTA WALE
The Ghanaian social media
space was buzzing hot with the
release of Sarkodie's latest track in
which he replied Shatta Wale's
numerous attacks on him.
Shatta Wale had been attacking
Sarkodie in many radio interviews
in Accra and Kumasi as he went
on a media tour to promote his
upcoming 'The Reign' album.
Shatta Wale stated in one of his
interviews that he felt disrespected
by Sarkodie.
While Sarkodie has been relatively
quiet about the ‘disses’ from Shatta
Wale, it finally got to him and he
decided to respond. And he did so
in grand style as he released 'diss'
track which could be described as
one of his best songs ever. Doling
out loads of insults to Shatta Wale,
Sarkodie warned the dancehall
artiste to be wary of him.
Sarkodie who called Shatta Wale
names said though he (Shatta)
boasts of riches, he was actually
poor and that nobody cared about
his chicken change property.

The five edition of stonebwoy’s
annual concert dubbed
‘Ashaiman to the world’ was
the shutdown show in
October, it happened on
October 27 at Ashaiman,
Sakasaka park.
No one can accurately put a
figure as to how many people
showed up at the Sakasaka Park
in Ashaiman but the fact is, the
number gets bigger as the years
go by.
