Mayor Jackson was excited to talk<br />
to Obimanso <strong>Mag</strong>azine and<br />
extended invitation to our<br />
readership to come participate and<br />
enjoy the next Collard Green<br />
festival in the city of Lithonia.<br />
Festival founder, Dr. Nobantu<br />
Ankoanda, added “ It’s a great time<br />
to get comfortable during these<br />
uncomfortable years with “45”. I<br />
think we deserve a day full of fun,<br />
food and festivities. Our overall<br />
mission is to develop a strong<br />
mindset for people to eat healthier<br />
and live healthier life style.<br />
Dr Nobanu started this festival in<br />
East Palo Alto CA, and has since<br />
introduced it in a number of cities<br />
including Philadelphia PA,<br />
Chicago, IL and Fort Worth, TX .<br />
The 2018 festival was the 9th<br />
Annual Metro-Atlanta Collard<br />
Greens Cultural Festival<br />
(MACGCF) and will be a<br />
permanent tradition in Georgia as<br />
it is in East Palo Alto, California.<br />
Obimanso <strong>Mag</strong>azine in<br />
collaboration with MACGCF<br />
encourages our readers to also<br />
participate, sign up and win the<br />
Collard Green cookout challenge.<br />
