The entertainment industry, thus, is
becoming very competitive and
interesting, which demands that
industry players take more time to
prepare for their performances in
terms of producing music and on
stage. This calls for concentration on
specific areas to ensure excellence,
yet some industry people take up a
number of jobs and still aim at
perfection.
One of such people is Jason EL-
Agha, known in showbiz as Jason
EL-A, who is a musician, TV
presenter and programme host,
songwriter, video director, an actor
and brand influencer for both Adidas
and Orijin drink. So I ask, can Jason
EL-A really do it all while multitasking?
How the journey started for Jason
Growing up in the Eastern Region of
Ghana, Akuapem Akropong
to be precise, young
Jason had the
passion for doing
music, though
he was the shy
type and had
no idea of
how to start
music.
He used to
sing to his
friends but did
not have the
confidence to climb
the stage to perform
during school entertainment
hours. He never thought of mounting
big platforms with passion, until his
first interview with Berla Mundi, a
television programme host, changed
his path in the entertainment
industry.
“I started out doing music with no
intention of being a TV presenter.
But one time Berla Mundi, host of
Rythmz Live on GhOne TV, came to
Pent [Pentagon Hostel] in University
of Ghana to give free tickets to Chris
Brown’s concert to people who could
answer questions correctly. The
interview went well and right after
that I was approached by Berla, who
said she and her producer liked the
interview because of my confidence
and expressions. That’s where it
started,” Jason El-Agha stated.
Speaking on what triggered him to
start recording, Jason stated that, “It
was a video. I saw Chris Brown’s ‘Run
It’ video featuring Juelz Santana, and
when I saw the video, I knew I
wanted to do music right away
because I saw myself doing this kind
of art. El-Agha disclosed that
building confidence was over a period
of time, so he never started recording
until he was in the university.
After he was discovered by Berla
Mundi, Jason EL- Agha, also known
as Jason EL-A, is seriously setting the
pace in the entertainment industry as
his music career is growing. He is
currently a song writer, video director,
host of ‘Rythmz live’ on GhOne TV,
host of ‘Young Wild and Free’ on Live
FM, host of ‘the tape’ on YouTube,
presenter on 4Syte TV, brand
influencer for both Adidas and Orijin
and actor.
Jason El-Agha is gradually taking the
industry by storm with his warm
personality as he is creeping into the
hearts of arts lovers, which has and is
opening more ambassadorial deals
for him. He calls his fans ‘Breda’
because he feels the bound between
himself and them are more than just
being fans but like friends and
siblings.
