Police Jury Elects New President,<br />
Vice President for <strong>2019</strong><br />

At its Jan. 3 regular meeting, the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury elected<br />
Kevin White as its <strong>2019</strong> president and Shelly Mayo as its vice president.<br />
White succeeds Judd Bares and Mayo succeeds Kevin White.<br />
White is serving his first term on the Police Jury as juror for District 1, which includes portions <strong>of</strong> the Moss Bluff area<br />
and Ward 1. He is the director <strong>of</strong> NDT Business Development for the <strong>Louisiana</strong> Division at JZR. White has a fiancée,<br />
Missy Statum, and two daughters, Kelsie and Karlie.<br />
Mayo is also serving her first term on the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury as juror <strong>of</strong> District 3, which includes part <strong>of</strong><br />
the City <strong>of</strong> Lake Charles and portions <strong>of</strong> Ward 3. She’s a graduate <strong>of</strong> W.O. Boston High School and McNeese State<br />
University and is a member <strong>of</strong> Delta Sigma <strong>The</strong>ta Sorority.<br />
