Building Synergies<br />
IEIA and UFI Executive Committees come together for discussions on closer cooperation.<br />
In a recent move to promote<br />
networking and exchange of ideas, the<br />
Indian Exhibition Industry Association<br />
held its 6th IEIA Connect programme<br />
in New Delhi recently.<br />
The event saw the presence of<br />
dignitaries from across the exhibition<br />
industry and was also graced by<br />
the Executive Committee of UFI,<br />
the global association of exhibition<br />
industry, who were special guests on<br />
the occasion and saw the presence of<br />
several IEIA members.<br />
Being an apex body, IEIA conducts<br />
Connect programmes throughout<br />
the year that aims at promoting and<br />
supporting the Indian exhibition<br />
industry. The programmes are the<br />
regional networking events, which<br />
bring the stakeholders at the regional<br />
levels under the one umbrella to<br />
discuss issues related to the exhibition<br />
industry and connect with the other<br />
leading players of the industry in the<br />
region.<br />
IEIA Connect programmes also<br />
provide the players with an ideal<br />
platform to network and interact. The<br />
event, exclusively attended by the<br />
representatives of exhibition industry<br />
who are at the decision-making levels<br />
of MD, CEO and Director, makes it<br />
one of the most pivotal networking<br />
Engaging the audience<br />
platforms.<br />
The recently held meet saw Executive<br />
Committee of IEIA interacting with<br />
the UFI Executive Committee with<br />
regard to the CONNECT and exploring<br />
meaningful and fruitful ways to<br />
come up with collaborative initiatives<br />
that would help in the growth of the<br />
exhibition industry in India.<br />
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Corrado<br />
Peraboni, UFI President said, “India<br />
is one of the most important regions<br />
for UFI in terms of membership and a<br />
promising exhibitions market. India is<br />
putting in place all the required efforts<br />
for the growth of the exhibitions<br />
sector in the country, whether it<br />
be infrastructure development<br />
or supportive initiatives for the<br />
organisers.”<br />
Expressing his pleasure over UFI’s<br />
participation, Mr K.V. Nagendra<br />
Prasad, IEIA President said, “IEIA<br />
is happy to collaborate with UFI on<br />
various important matters for the<br />
growth of the exhibition industry in<br />
India. We are sure that this cooperation<br />
will further add to the progress of our<br />
members and the exhibition industry<br />
at large.”<br />
The event also felicitated the Winners<br />
of the GED18 (Global Exhibitions Day)<br />
India Awards.<br />
