Bauma CONEXPO India 2018<br />

leaves a mark<br />

Bauma CONEXPO India 2018, held<br />

from December 11 to 14 at HUDA<br />

Ground in Gurugram, saw the<br />

presence of 39,173 participants in an<br />

exhibition space of 195,000 square<br />

meters, which was 30% bigger<br />

compared to 2016.<br />

The event featured an eclectic display<br />

of machines, products and innovative<br />

technologies from the construction<br />

domain. Speaking about the success<br />

of the event Mr Bhupinder Singh,<br />

CEO of bC Expo India, said, “Bauma<br />

CONEXPO India 2018 was a great<br />

success. Together with our strong<br />

partner iCEMA (Indian Construction<br />

Equipment<br />

Manufacturers<br />

Association), we have prepared an<br />

excellent platform for the industry to<br />

present their products to the market.”<br />

On the partnership, Mr Arvind Garg,<br />

President of iCEMA, said, “iCEMA<br />

for the first time has partnered with<br />

bauma CONEXPO India. All our<br />

members, 70 of us, have participated<br />

in bauma CONEXPO India in indoor or<br />

outdoor exhibition spaces.”<br />

With India painting a pretty picture for<br />

long-term growth, the construction<br />

industry is all set for a better future.<br />

The country provides brilliant<br />

opportunities for doing business in<br />

the construction industry and the<br />

major infrastructure projects, the<br />

booming transport sector and urban<br />

development projects are acting as a<br />

driving force for the domain.<br />

The trade fair welcomed buyer<br />

delegations from Bangladesh,<br />

Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and other<br />

countries in the region. The show<br />

was marked by the presence of<br />

celebrated companies in the domain<br />

like ACE, Ajax Fiori Engineering,<br />

Case, Caterpillar, Doosan Bobcat,<br />

JCB, Kobelco, L&T, Liugong, PERI,<br />

Putzmeister, Sany, Schwing Stetter,<br />

Volvo, Wirtgen, Zoomlion and several<br />

more.<br />

The first-time exhibitors included<br />

the Indian manufacturers like Tata<br />

Hitachi, Escorts and the German<br />

company Kaeser Kompressoren.<br />

This year, bauma CONEXPO India<br />

organised a Buyer-Seller Forum,<br />

for the first time, which gave the<br />

participants additional chance to<br />

network with the potential business<br />

partners. The initiative saw technology<br />

providers and buyers participating in<br />

3,023 meetings under one roof.<br />

The next bauma CONEXPO India will<br />

take place 2020 in Delhi.<br />

Glasspro India brings experts<br />

together<br />

Glasspro India 2018, held at Bombay<br />

Convention & Exhibition Centre in<br />

Mumbai in September, brought<br />

together dignitaries from the industry<br />

under the same umbrella, attracting<br />

100 exhibitors from five countries and<br />

more than 4,400 visitors.<br />

Co-organized by Messe Duesseldorf<br />

India and Glass Bulletin, it emerged<br />

as the ideal turf for industry experts,<br />

professionals and technocrats<br />

relating to the flat glass industry<br />
