Cambridgeshire<br />

The classic ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ (29 April - 4 May) comes<br />

to Cambridge Arts Theatre (cambridgeartstheatre.com)<br />

along with ‘The Worst Witch’ (6 - 10 <strong>February</strong>) and Sir<br />

Ian McKellen (10 -11 May). Also, in Cambridge, The Corn<br />

Exchange (cambridgelivetrust.co.uk) hosts The Northern<br />

Ballet’s ‘Puss in Boots’ (17 May).<br />

‘The Lady in the Van’ (17 - 20 April) swings by The Key<br />

Theatre in Peterborough (vivacity.org) along with an ‘Only<br />

Fools and Horses’ dining experience (20 - 21 September).<br />

My Fair Lady’ takes an operatic twist at The Hertford<br />

Theatre (5 - 9 March) and the classic ‘La Boheme’ (13<br />

March) hits the Broadway Letchworth Theatre.<br />

If you fancy a giggle both Seann Walsh (9 May) and Ruby<br />

Wax (22 - 23 May) play the Broadway Letchworth Theatre.<br />

Whilst the Alban Arena hosts Reginald D Hunter (19 May),<br />

Russell Kane (14 May) and an adult pantomime (8 June).<br />

Bedfordshire<br />

Milton Keynes Theatre (atgtickets.com/venues/miltonkeynes-theatre/)<br />

has more West End smash hits than you<br />

can shake a stick at.<br />

Essex<br />

There’s no shortage of West End shows coming to<br />

Essex. ‘My Fair Lady’ (26 <strong>February</strong> - 2 March) heads to<br />

Chelmsford Civic Theatre (chelmsford.gov.uk), while ‘Annie’<br />

(27 May - 1 June), ‘The Calendar Girls’ (23 - 27 April)<br />

and ‘The Fully Monty’ (1 - 6 April) head to Cliffs Pavilion<br />

(southendtheatres.org.uk). Over in Basildon, ‘Avenue Q’ (11<br />

-16 March) makes its debut (towngatetheatre.co.uk).<br />

Catch ‘The Bodyguard’ in March (12 - 23). April sees<br />

‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat’ (8 - 13)<br />

and American Idiot (23 - 27) hit the stage. ‘Les Misérables’<br />

has a 3-week run (14 May - 8 June.) 1980s classic ‘Fame’<br />

hits the stage in June (24 - 28). In July catch ‘Annie’<br />

(1 - 6), ‘Hair’ (15 - 20) and ‘Motown the Musical’<br />

(23 July - 3 August).<br />

If you love dance, catch ‘Here Come the Girls’ (14 March)<br />

at Chelmsford Civic Theatre; the Vienna Festival Ballet<br />

will perform ‘Giselle’ (24 May) at the Princes Theatre<br />

(princestheatre.co.uk) and The Russian State Ballet of<br />

Siberia dance ‘Swan Lake’ (3 March) at Cliffs Pavilion.<br />

For a barrel of laughs or for something different head<br />

to The Mercury Theatre (mercurytheatre.co.uk) and<br />

learn how to be human with Ruby Wax (25 April). Catch<br />

the ‘Lady Boys of Bangkok’ (18 April) at the West Cliff<br />

(westcliffclacton.co.uk) or head to Cliffs Pavilion to<br />

experience the Fawlty Towers dining experience (22 - 23<br />

March and 6 - 7 September).<br />

For something family friendly ‘Alice in Wonderland’ (13 - 14<br />

April), ‘The Sooty Show’ (16 March) and ‘The Tiger Who<br />

Came to Tea’ (15 – 17 July) are on at the Civic Theatre,<br />

The Princes Theatre and The Palace Theatre, respectively.<br />

Hertfordshire<br />

There’s fun for all the family at the Hertford Theatre<br />

(hertfordtheatre.com) with ‘Room on the Broom’ (22 - 23<br />

March). ‘Horrible Histories’ (13 - 14 April) heads to The<br />

Broadway Letchworth Theatre (broadway-letchworth.com)<br />

and ‘Zog’ (16 - 18 April) swoops into the Alban Arena<br />

(alban-arena.co.uk).<br />
