New name, new<br />

era for SteinBuild<br />

Steinhoff Doors and Building Materials<br />

(SteinBuild), a wholly owned subsidiary of Pepkor<br />

Holdings, is proud to announce its new name –<br />

The Building Company – effective January 28<br />

<strong>2019</strong>.<br />

The name change was approved by its board<br />

and parent company, Pepkor Holdings.The<br />

Building Company incorporates brands, such as<br />

BUCO, Timbercity, Tiletoria and Brands 4 Africa,<br />

among others.<br />

The new name more accurately reflects the<br />

company’s mission and purpose of sourcing,<br />

Pink Fairy Multisport will be<br />

hosting their first dog show at the<br />

Dale College track fields in King<br />

William’s Town this Saturday.<br />

The aim of the show is to assist<br />

the local SPCA as they are in dire<br />

need of funding.<br />

Show convenor Mike Webb, also<br />

known as the Pink Fairy, said the<br />

highlight of the day will be a<br />

parade of rescue dogs led by a<br />

SPCA vehicle .<br />

“We are trying to highlight the<br />

good work that the SPCA does in<br />

the community and show that dogs<br />

that are rehabilitated, make the<br />

best pets”, he said.<br />

There will also be music, guest<br />

speakers and a police dog show.<br />

“We also have awesome rozettes<br />

for all placings. An impartial judge<br />

from East London has been<br />

arranged in order to ensure no<br />

favouritism. All dogs need to be on<br />

a leash at all times, well behaved,<br />

preferably inoculated and<br />

dewormed,” said Webb.<br />

Registration will be at 12pm on<br />

the Saturday with the show itself<br />

starting at 2pm.<br />

Entry fee is R100 and late ent ries<br />

cost R150.<br />

Webb said after the dog show,<br />

they will be hosting a Sunset<br />

Amble .<br />

“This will consist of a 500m lap.<br />

Participants will pay R5 per lap<br />

and receive a glow stick upon<br />

completion.”<br />

After completing 10 laps (5km),<br />

participants will receive a special<br />

Pink Fairy Medal.<br />

The circus-themed dance<br />

show, involving about 100<br />

dancers, will showcase the<br />

st u d i o ’s theatric moves with<br />

“We also have guest artists<br />

Duane Joaquim who will be our<br />

French mime. Rudi Smit has<br />

choreographed a routine in the<br />

show and will also be<br />

performing. Aerial artists Tsogt<br />

and Kristen Bayasagalan will<br />

Mongolian Ballet University,<br />

Tsogt travelled to many<br />

countries as a performer. In<br />

1996, he came to SA to perform<br />

at the Boswell Wikie Circus and<br />

he has since worked with many<br />

international artists and has<br />

been involved in the rigging<br />

and stunts for many films and<br />

concer ts.<br />

“Kristen, who is a salon<br />

owner by day and circus<br />

performer by night, has been<br />

fortunate enough to have<br />

performed in the UAE and all<br />

over SA.”<br />

Jackson said Joaqium has<br />

been dancing since he was 13<br />

years old. He started his dance<br />

career training at the Craig<br />

Riviere Dance Academy in<br />

Johannesburg, where he<br />

trained in Latin American,<br />

freestyle, adagio, slow dance,<br />

hustle, hip-hop, rock ’n roll,<br />

break-dancing and slow dance.<br />
