children proper technique
efficiently and effectively,
in accordance with the high
standards of the Lifesaving
Society. Our end-of-session
Survival Day is unique to
Dovercourt and is a fun yet
rescue situations, changes to
current standards, as well as
techniques for teaching. Many
of our senior aquatics staff are
and are a valuable resource for
our aquatics team. Our leisure
pool is designed to teach
swimming, with unique features
like warmer water, a beach
THE SWIM FOR LIFE®
PROGRAM
Basic swimming ability is a
requirement of any meaningful
attempt to eliminate drowning
in Canada. Swim for Life®
is a comprehensive swim
instruction program that
focuses on the acquisition and
development of fundamental
swim strokes and skills for
learners of all ages and
Survive® skills and achieving
the Lifesaving Society’s Swim
to Survive® Standard are key
foundations of the Swim for
Life® Program.
our limited pool space. Class
