An enjoyable start to 2019
We have had a busy and enjoyable start to 2019, with sailing
lessons for our Year 11 Outdoor Education class, Mairehau
Games, Get to Know You days with our new Year 9 students, and
achievement presentations.
Mairehau High School is prioritizing the key value of
“Responsibility’ this year.
First Foundation Scholarship
We are extremely proud
to announce that Year 13
student and Head Boy
Jesse Jeffries, is a recipient
of the First Foundation
Scholarship to the value of
$12,000.00
Jesse will be matched with
a mentor, whose role is to
assist students through the
major transitions from High
School to University and
guide him through new
experiences within the scholarship
programme.

The scholarship also provides a Scholarship Partner or Work
Experience Partner which will give Jesse a minimum four to five
weeks paid work experience per year which will allow him to
develop skills in a safe work environment and build new networks.

Spacifically Pacific Awards
Recently Year 13 students Ene Suisala, Sebastian Anae-Ah Sue,
Darrell Suaesi Faamau and Amelia Fonua were celebrated as
Mairehau’s top Pasifika student leaders at the annual Spacifically
Pacific Awards held by the Ministry of Education.
The evening celebrated Pasifika students from all secondary
schools across the city.
