Advertisement After twelve years in New Zealand, Teeter Hang-Ups have now established a long term track record with thousands of people throughout New Zealand. This is why we travel the country showing people and letting them see for themselves how great it is and how life can be once your pain free again IT IS PURE LOGIC AS TO HOW THE TEETER TABLE WORKS Discs: It uses gravity to apply traction, the traction gently opens the discs and as they open up they create suction, this suction draws fluid from the surrounding tissue back into the discs, re-hydrating them. This is the key! Discs do not have their own blood supply, they rely on trans fer of fluid from the surrounding tissue to keep them healthy and hydrated and over the years as discs get thinner with age, they lose the ability to take on fluid (just like squeezing a sponge) and they start to de-hydrate. De-Hydrated discs are less flexible, they are harder, more prone to injury, they interfere with nerve roots creating pain and ultimately the de-hydration causes degen eration. The Teeter Inversion table slowly and gently brings the hydration back into the discs, plumping them up. It separates the nerve roots far more effectively and returns quality of life Muscles: A lot of pain is muscular, when muscles are stressed they become tight which restricts the flow of blood and lymph through the muscles so toxins build up, Co2 and Lactic Acid. Traction opens up the muscles, Rhythmic Traction, is a gentle rocking motion that stimulates circulation and encourages blood flow through the muscles, which clears the lactic acid into your lymph system where it stimulates lymph flow and deals with it. A difference in leg length causes most of the hip and knee issues, as they continue to place uneven loads on the joints; similar to the wheels out of alignment on your car. Trying to correct posture is extremely difficult due to muscle memory, as it constantly pulls the muscles back to where they were. At a level of 40 degrees or more on the Teeter, the muscle groups open up and eventually come back into alignment, using the table daily, does not allow the muscle memory to pull them back out of alignment and slowly the muscles start to lose their memory and go with the flow, allowing the body to come back into correct posture. Then using the table once a day will ensure it is kept there. This is pure logic, if a machine is out of alignment it does not last long, the only difference between the body and a machine is that the body is constantly repairing itself, however if the wear and tear on the body is greater than the body’s ability to repair itself, it is a slow decline. The Teeter slowly brings the body out of its decline and allows the body to repair itself, resulting in a far healthier life. SELWYN TIMES Latest Christchurch news at www.star.kiwi Wednesday March 27 2019 17 Country senior and colts games axed No Craw Shield defence under new plan • By Gordon Findlater CANTERBURY Country will not have the opportunity to defend their Craw Shield title against Canterbury Metro after a decision was made to scrap the sub union’s senior and colts representative teams this year. The Canterbury Country Rugby Sub Union made the decision at a recent board meeting. The contributing reasons for the decision were an extended Canterbury B season, the move of Ellesmere and North Canterbury’s Southbridge Shield and Munro Shield matches to later in the year as opposed to July, and increasing difficulty obtaining sponsors and gaming machine funds. Canterbury Country sub union secretary Murray Dulieu described the board’s decision as “facing reality.” “I’m disappointed and I think a number of the player and supporters will be as well. Canterbury Country has been around from a long time, so I’m pretty disappointed, but it’s the decision,” said Dulieu. This means Canterbury SPORT Country’s long-standing traditional games against Otago Country and Southland Country will also not be played this year. Canterbury Country will still have under-16 boys, under-18 boys and under-15 girls rep teams, which will compete at a South Island tournament. In previous years, the annual Craw Shield match between Canterbury Country and Canterbury Metro has been used as a final trial match for the Canterbury B side. However, due to a newly-extended programme GONE: The Canterbury Country senior side will not be able to defend the Craw Shield after a decision was made to axe the senior and colts representative programme due to an extended Canterbury B season. At the end of last season, the Ellesmere and North Canterbury sub unions sent a questionnaire to all of their clubs and the feedback they got was to play the Southbridge and Munro shields games after the completion of the club season. That is when the Canterbury Country representative games take place. This also contributed to the decision due to very limited preparation for the Canterbury Country teams and an extension of demand on players’ time. The new schedule will see Ellesmere and North Canterbury’s senior and colts teams play four game programmes following the club season, which will culminate in the Southbridge and Munro Shields games. Dulieu says a full review will be carried out at the end of this season to evaluate the results of the change. The review will look at whether the new format has provided the development path for country players or if it would be better achieved by playing in the country seniors and colts representative games. “The goal is for country players to develop their rugby so they have an opportunity to play for Canterbury or Canterbury B.
