The Weekly Times - TWT - 27th March 2019

The Weekly Times - TWT - cheekily describes itself as a campaigning, crusading, truth-seeking, death defying, Aussie battler-aligned, one-eyed-Tiger-led news organisation dedicated to Sydney's north west. It's one of the few remaining independently run community newspapers and turns 100 years old in 2021 - so if you want to show your support for independent media, have a quick look at the paper, submit a letter to the editor via its website or like or share one of its posts on social media. NSW STATE ELECTION
RYDE
Dominello promises a Ryde Renaissance
BY OUR STATE POLITICAL ROUNDSMAN
Ryde is about to experience a renaissance, newly re-elected Ryde MP
Victor Dominello told The Weekly Times yesterday.
Mr Dominello said the reelected
Berejiklian Coalition
government will honour all
election promises and tens
of millions of dollars will be
poured into Ryde to make it a
better place to live and work.
“We will absolutely implement
our vision to build the new
schools, the new hospital, the
new metro and we will continue
our work to improve Victoria
Road,” he said.
“We are going to see a Ryde
Renaissance.”
Mr Dominello said he is proud
to have won the seat in an “ethical”
campaign that put people
before politics.
“As well as delivering on our
government’s policy I will continue
to advocate for my community
and for the people who
live and work here,” he said.
“I thank Premier Gladys Berejiklian
for her leadership and
her integrity but most of all I
want to thank the people of
Ryde.
“It is an honour to represent
them and I will not let them
down.”
