people 28 Volvo Restructures Executive Team Björn Annwall Volvo Cars is restructuring its executive management team to reflect these changes and position itself for the future. With these changes, Volvo will place technological developments and digitalization at the core of the company’s future strategy, focus on its core global business and adapt to new ways of interacting with customers in future. Groupe PSA Appoint Thierry Koskas Thierry Koskas has been appointed Senior Vice- President, Sales & Marketing at Groupe PSA, effective 26th March 2019. He will report to Carlos Tavares, Chairman of the Managing Board. <strong>The</strong> role of the Sales & Marketing Department is to boost the Group’s commercial effectiveness, help move the brands up the value chain and enhance the sales and marketing skills base of teams across the organisation. Björn Annwall, currently head of Global Consumer Experience, will lead Commercial Operations, responsible for running and developing Volvo Cars’ global core business, focusing on growth and profitability. Björn will head the EMEA region, and lead the global coordination of the EMEA region, the Americas region, which is led by Anders Gustafsson, and the APAC region, which is led by Xiaolin Yuan. Other functions that will form part of this cluster include Customer Service as well as the merged Global Marketing and Communications team. Lex Kerssemakers, today leading Commercial Operations, will head up a new cluster, Direct Consumer Business, responsible for de- Lex Kerssemakers veloping new direct business relationships with consumers. Lex will be responsible for Care by Volvo, the company’s subscription service, and the stand-alone unit M, the shared mobility service as well as Uptime, the company’s new customer service business. Created in January 2015, the department operates globally for all of the brands – Peugeot, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Opel and Vauxhall – as well as for the Parts & Services Department. Thierry Koskas was previously Executive Vice- President, Sales & Marketing at Renault. He replaces Albéric Chopelin, who will be continuing his career outside the Group. Aston Martin Appoint Kiesele Aston Martin Lagonda has announced the appointment of Thomas Kiesele as President of Aston Martin Europe, effective immediately. Based at Aston Martin’s regional head office in Frankfurt, Germany, Thomas Kiesele will report to Nick Lines, Vice President and Chief Sales Officer. Kiesele will be responsible for all brand and sales activities, covering 41 dealers across 19 Continental European markets. Thomas holds a degree in Business Administration from Offenburg University of Applied Sciences in Germany. Thomas joins Aston Martin from Ferrari Financial Services, where he served as Head of Sales and Marketing for Europe. He has worked for almost 30 years in the automotive industry for several luxury brands including Bentley, Ferrari and Porsche, holding different senior management positions in sales, marketing and dealer development. Commenting on the new appointment, President and UFI boosts its Aftermarket team and warehouse in UK & Ireland As part of a raft of initiatives designed to enhance its services across the UK and Ireland, UFI Filters has appointed seasoned industry professional David Price as UFI Aftermarket UK & Ireland Sales Development Manager, with effect from 1st March 2019. David has more than 26 years’ experience in the automotive Aftermarket, having worked as a Business Development Manager for several world-leading automotive equipment manufacturers. He brings an in-depth understanding of the UK and Irish automotive Aftermarkets and will be responsible for developing business across both countries, with a particular focus on northern regions. Group Chief Executive Officer Dr Andy Palmer said: “We are delighted to welcome Thomas Kiesele to the Aston Martin team at what is probably the most exciting time in the company’s 106-year history.
