CENA CUCINA ITALIANA
Eat Like They Do In Italy
veal chop with porcini mushrooms and mashed potatoes
If you know a little about Italian
culture than you know food is
as sacred as the divine. It’s a
sacrosanct ritual between friends
and relatives that defines the
delicacy of a full happy life.
Italian Cheesecake
Such is the theory at Cena Cucina Italiana. This elegant authentic
Italian restaurant hails from its Italian roots and stays true
to its illustrious form. Though the restaurant has been in Delray
for a few years it is recently under new management.
This new team – made up of Italian restaurant superstars –
has put together a new menu and a new philosophy. “We have
updated our wine menu and brought in only the highest quality
fresh pasta, fish, meats and desserts. We treat everyone like an
honored guest, and we value their patronage,” said General Manager
Paolo Accarpio.
Accarpio knows a thing or two (maybe a dozen) about running
a successful restaurant. He opened DeVito’s restaurant in South
Beach and was general manager for Bice, and corporate general
manager for Bice USA. Their chef – Antonio Montella – is also a
master of Italian cooking.
If the candlelit tables, limestone textured walls and elegant
bronze chandeliers tell you one thing it’s that this restaurant is a
world away from the chaos and commotion of a big city. It almost
feels like you’re in Italy, where aged Parmesan/Reggiano cheese
hails from the rafters (aged 24 months) and the food is perfectly
prepared with tender reverence.
