rapidly expanding suburbs in the southwest.<br />
Canterbury Property Investments Ltd, a<br />
big player in the rebuild, wants to build an<br />
eight-cinema complex at The landing in Wigram Skies.<br />
That’s a smart move from the company as the area continues<br />
to boom.<br />
Bars, cafes, retail and health services have and are moving<br />
into Wigram to capitalise on what provides the dollars – people.<br />
The complex will be called the Silky Otter. I haven’t seen any<br />
in the Wigram area, but it’s not a bad sort of a name.<br />
Community groups and the community board are behind the<br />
idea, so while the plan has to go through the resource consent<br />
process, I’d say it’s a home run.<br />
