important but we do strongly believe that you get 

what you pay for. 

We are constantly investing in our fleet of coaches – this year we 

have already added a brand-new Mercedes Special Edition. 

Today’s coaches are extremely sophisticated and offer very high 

levels of comfort with toilet facilities and modern safety features. 

We are a family business who have been serving the local area 

for over 20 years – since 1996. After all these years we know how 

important our team of drivers and office staff are in making your 

holiday the very best it can be. We hope that once you have met

A £40 per person deposit is payable to secure your seat. Your 

balance payment is due 6 weeks before departure. If you are 

booking within 6 weeks of departure full payment is required. 

If your holiday includes Home Collection we will write to you 2 weeks 

before departure to advise your collection time.

the safety of our passengers is our number one priority.

Throughout the 

brochure you will 

notice that our Home 

Collection Service is 

indicated on some of 

the tours. On these holidays you will 

be collected and returned to your 

home via a taxi organised by us. On these tours we operate a limited 

amount of pick up places ensuring that your holiday will start and end 

efficiently. To qualify for the free Home Collection Service you must live in 

the area from Poole to Lymington and south of Ferndown.

Eastbourne Summer Break 

Great value break to Eastbourne and the popular Palm Court 

Hotel. One of the most popular destinations with our customers, 

Eastbourne is a refined Victorian seaside resort offering a fine array of 

facilities for tourists. There is a lovely level promenade, attractive 

gardens, a splendid Victorian pier, theatres, an art gallery and excellent 

shopping and cafes where you can watch the world go by - perfect for 

a relaxing break away from it all. The town is surrounded by the 

stunning South Downs with a wealth of excursion possibilities in the 

region. We are delighted to be staying at the popular Palm Court 

Hotel located close to the seafront. Come along for some fun! 

Itinerary: 

Day 1: After being collected from 

your local pick up point (approx 

9.30am) we stop on route for lunch 

before arriving at the hotel midafternoon 

with time for a stroll. 

During our stay at the hotel, dinner is 

served in the restaurant with 3 

courses and choice of menu. Subject 

to minimum numbers there will also 

be live entertainment in the evening. 

Day 2: Lovely excursion today as we 

head for the town of Battle. A lovely 

historic town linked to the famous 

battle of 1066 and with a high street 

lined with medieval buildings and a 

beautiful Abbey in the middle of 

town. Plenty of time here to explore 

before we continue. After we visit the 

delightful town of Rye – a charming 

destination with historic buildings - 

find somewhere nice for a coffee 

before we head back. 

Day 3: Time for you to relax around 

the hotel and explore the town. The 

hotel is ideally located on the level 

promenade, close to the seafront 

with the shops only a short stroll 

away. 

Day 4: Today we have a popular 

excursion to - Borde Hill Gardens. 

Borde Hill is a superb garden, set in 

200 acres of the Sussex High Weald 

with magnificent views across the 

Ouse Valley Viaduct. Described as 

'One of the country's truly great 

gardens' by Country Life magazine 

there is a wealth of borders, a fine 

collection of trees, an Italian Garden 

and much more. Excellent café too. 

Entrance included. 

Day 5: Sadly, we leave Eastbourne 

and head home, stopping in the 

historic town of Chichester for lunch 

before returning to the local area 

around 3.00/4.00pm. 

Palm Court Hotel 

This attractive Regency property has an 

excellent location in Eastbourne. The level 

seafront promenade is only 50 yards away 

with the famous bandstand nearby. Town 

centre shops, cafes and restaurants are only a 

10 minute stroll. The staff and management 

are excellent hosts – making for a lovely break 

away. There is a separate lounge or you can enjoy a drink or bite to 

eat in a comfy armchair in the Bar. Free WiFi throughout the hotel. The 

restaurant serves a classic British menu with 3 course choice of menu 

in the evening and a hot breakfast. The bedrooms are a good size and 

offer tea and coffee making facilities, free toiletries, television, radio, 

hairdryer and ironing facilities. Good quality en suite bathrooms with 

bath or shower. An excellent hotel – great staff, good food and clean

Set within 200 acres of rolling parkland and overlooking the 

spectacular North Wales countryside, Bodelwyddan Castle is 

part of the renowned Warner Hotels group. It offers some 

excellent excursion possibilities with spectacular Snowdonia National 

Park only an hour away and a choice of resorts along the Welsh coast. 

The hotel has recently undergone a multi-million pound redevelopment

Situated on the border with Germany, the beautiful French 

city of Strasbourg nestles on the River Rhine and is a 

wonderful destination to explore. As the capital of the 

Alsatian Region, the city has a unique culture and is 

surrounded by a landscape of deep forests and vineyards, as 

well as picturesque villages of half-timbered houses with 

coloured walls and steep roofs. 

Our holiday to the area has a relaxed itinerary with overnight stops 

each way in a quality 4* hotel whilst the central position of the hotel 

allows for easy access to the historic city centre. There is much to 

discover - relax and stroll through the cobbled streets and explore the 

narrow passageways with overhanging balconies and cascades of 

brightly coloured hanging flowers. Strasbourg is also renowned as the 

centre for Alsatian gastronomy which marries French and German 

cuisine in to unique local specialities.

This 4* rated hotel has a beautiful old facade 

as it dates back to 1895 but inside it mixes an 

elegant traditional style with modern

with many of the attractions close by - both 

the La Petite France historic district and the 

Cathedral are within a 15 minute walk. 

The extensive buffet breakfast includes 

scrambled eggs and bacon and is served in the elegant breakfast

Given the propensity of local restaurants, the hotel does not have a

Sidmouth is our most popular destination in the UK as we 

take coach loads of Day Trippers who enjoy the charms of 

this unique little town. 

Set in the heart of the World Heritage Coast, the elegant town of 

Sidmouth is one of Devon’s oldest resorts. Its Georgian and Regency 

architecture has been beautifully preserved, and the town enjoys an 

unspoilt and quiet atmosphere. Enjoy a leisurely walk around the town, 

along the Esplanade and through the lovely gardens. ‘A town caught

Manchester is one of the most exciting places to visit in the UK. 

Known throughout the world as the birthplace of the industrial 

revolution, Manchester has a proud history in science, politics, music, 

arts and sport. The city has moved in to the 21st Century and is a 

modern metropolis incorporating technological industries whilst 

retaining and reimagining much of its attractive industrial heritage. 

Manchester city centre is jam-packed with unique restaurants, bars, 

shops, museums, galleries and hotels with a splendid public transport 

system. 

Scarborough on the beautiful East Coast of Yorkshire was 

Britain’s first seaside resort - welcoming visitors for over 350 

years. The town has retained much of its charm with elegant 

architecture, superb parks, interesting shops and a host of restaurants 

and cafes - it’s a lovely town to explore on foot with a long promenade 

and coastal walks for the more adventurous. The town is split in to two 

bays by a headland complete with Castle on top. Excursion 

destinations are plentiful in the region with beautiful countryside and 

dramatic coastline dotted with historic fishing villages along the coast.

Day 2: Today we have a memorable 

excursion as we travel to Llangollen 

where we have arranged for a 2 hour 

canal boat cruise on this beautiful 

canal which includes the amazing 

Pontcysyllte Aqueduct across the 

River Dee. Afterwards, enjoy free 

time in the lovely town of Llangollen 

and find somewhere nice for lunch. 

Enjoy fantastic scenery on the way 

back to the hotel including the iconic 

Horseshoe Pass. An amazing day out.

Day 3: After breakfast we transfer 

you in to the centre of Chester where 

we meet a guide for a fascinating 

coach tour of the centre, followed by 

free time to explore this beautiful

Day 4: Excellent excursion today as 

we are joined by a knowledgeable 

local guide for a tour of the city of 

Liverpool. Over recent years the city 

centre and waterfront have been 

transformed in to a stylish modern 

metropolis, always tipping its hat to 

the cultural heritage which made the

visit RHS Rosemoor. One of the 

showcase gardens of the RHS,

garden, the Arboretum, the cottage

and hopefully spotting some wildlife. 

Free time in Wroxham after – a lovely 

riverside aspect and some good

Day 3: This morning we transfer you 

in to the centre of Norwich where we

fascinating tour of the historic city

A superb value holiday, enjoying some of the finest scenery 

to be had, anywhere in Britain. 

The dramatic, rugged coastline of the North Devon Coast, where the 

cliffs seem to dive in to the sea is quite stunning - on a clear day you 

can see over to South Wales. There are some terrific excursion 

destinations to explore, all with lovely countryside to see on route. 

We stay in the centre of Ilfracombe, a town which has received a 

noticeable boost in the last few years largely credited to the arrival of 

artist, Damian Hirst who lives nearby. His giant 20 metre sculpture, 

Verity, has led to several galleries in the town and some lovely 

restaurants, bars and cafes around the authentic fishing harbour.

The National Memorial Arboretum is the UK’s year-round 

centre of Remembrance; a spiritually uplifting place which 

honours the fallen, recognises service and sacrifice, and 

fosters pride in our country. 

The Arboretum is part of The Royal British Legion family of charities 

and is set in the pleasant Staffordshire countryside between Litchfield 

and Burton-upon-Trent. Visitors enjoy a wide variety of trees, many of 

which have a relevance to the memorials around them. Planting started 

in 1997 and there are already over 50,000 trees over the 150 acre site. 

Conceived as a living tribute to the war time generations of the 20th 

Century, the Arboretum is a reminder for future generations to enjoy. 

But it is not only the service of soldiers that is recognised as there are 

numerous gardens acknowledging the sacrifice of the civil services and 

many more. Many people have commented that a visit to the 

Arboretum is both reflective and hugely uplifting. We hope that you

our wartime history, this short break has proved to be 

hugely enjoyed by our customers and will appeal to those 

with a healthy interest in Britain’s history. 

In the past few years the story of the top secret code breaking facility 

at Bletchley Park in Buckinghamshire has been thrust in to the public 

consciousness with a string of television dramas and a superb film 

starring Benedict Cumberbatch. 

IWM Duxford is home to an impressive collection of over two hundred 

aircraft as well as tanks, military vehicles and maritime craft. Explore the 

former RAF fighter station that was used during both the First and 

Second World Wars.

Duxford in Cambridgeshire with a 

stop mid morning on route. We arrive 

at Duxford late morning where you

museum. There are a number of 

exhibitions tracing its history

can discover how the men and 

women lived at Duxford, meet the 

skilled engineers who restore the

Day 2: Fascinating day out as we 

head to Bletchley Park in Milton 

Keynes for a visit to the famous WWII 

code breaking centre. Seeing one of 

the Enigma Machines, including the 

rare 'Abwehr G312', is undoubtedly a 

highlight of a busy day out at 

Bletchley Park, but there is much 

more than machines in a visit to this 

historic site. Check out the tales of 

spies and strategic deception. There 

are plenty of different activities and 

exhibitions, from wartime toys to 

working computers, a wartime mini 

cinema to an outstanding Churchill

In accordance with “The Package Travel, Package Tour Regulations 

1992” all passengers booking with Highcliffe Coach Holidays are 

fully bonded for the initial deposit and subsequently the balance of 

all monies paid to us, including repatriation if required arising from 

the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to 

the insolvency of Highcliffe Coach Holidays. 

We are members of the Bonded Coach Holiday government approved consumer 

protection scheme administered by the Confederation of Passenger Transport 

UK. This ensures that, in relation to the coach package holidays described in this 

brochure, your monies are protected by a bond in the unlikely event of our 

ceasing to trade. You are recommended to inspect our current membership

GENERAL INFORMATION & ADVICE 

We want you to be as happy as possible from the moment you select your 

holiday until you return home. Along with the hotels which we use, we try our 

very best to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. To help you to make 

the right selection and for what you can expect from us, please take a moment 

to read the following points. 

LUGGAGE 

Due to space & weight restrictions the maximum suitcase size per 

person is 70 x 50 x 23cm. The maximum luggage weight per 

person is 20kg. A small separate holdall can also be taken on board. 

These restrictions are placed as a matter of safety and we thank you 

for your assistance. 

Porterage is provided at some of the hotels that we use. If not included it is 

usually available if required. This may incur a small additional charge which will 

need to be paid by you directly to the hotel. 

SEAT ALLOCATION 

Seats are allocated on a first come, first served basis when you book your 

holiday with us. If you have specific needs we would advise you to book as early 

as possible. We make every effort to abide by these allocations but on occasion, 

perhaps when a substitute coach is required, this may not be possible. We shall 

have no liability regarding any changes made.

HOTELS 

We offer a range of hotel accommodation which have different 

levels of comfort, facilities and quality. When selecting your 

holiday please ensure that the quality will match your requirements. 

This is generally related to the cost of the holiday but if you have any 

specific requirements please talk to our staff who will be able to help. 

Some of our hotels have chosen not to be members of the RAC/AA and as 

such are not star rated. This is not necessarily an indication of a lower standard 

of accommodation. 

If you have special requirements please notify us as soon as possible. The hotel 

will be notified before your arrival but please remember that rooms are 

allocated by the hotels. 

Rooms for Single Occupancy are in high demand and very often are sold out. 

Some hotels charge a supplement for these rooms, the cost of which is 

indicated in this brochure. 

We try to indicate all the room and hotel facilities for each hotel within the 

information in this brochure but cannot accept liability for any alterations made 

by the hotel before our arrival. Sometimes amenities such as swimming pools 

and lifts may be out of service whilst entertainment may be curtailed, altered or 

cancelled due to hotel number. 

Hot drink making facilities are not normally available in Continental hotel 

bedrooms but are usually available at the bar/café. 

When travelling abroad, you should expect the food to be served in the national 

custom and therefore different to British cuisine. For some hotels, particularly 

overnight hotels the restaurant will serve a set menu. If, when you are at the 

hotel, you require an alternative this is normally available but may incur an 

additional cost for you. 

These days, many hotels are excellent at providing Special Diets. Please let us 

know as soon as possible so they can make preparations early. 

Many meals are taken as a group in the restaurants and usually involve sharing 

tables with 2 or more other diners in our group. 

HOLIDAY ITINERARIES AND SUITABILITY 

We pride ourselves on the planning of our holidays to provide an exciting 

and enjoyable holiday experience. Many are planned months in advance and 

may require adjustment to the itineraries due to changes at destinations or 

attractions. 

Our itineraries are displayed in the brochure and you should carefully consider 

suitability before booking your holiday. You are, of course, quite welcome not 

to join any particular excursion during your holiday. 

Provided we are informed before departure, we are happy to take manual 

walking aids and folding wheelchairs up to 15kg in weight. Unfortunately, we are 

not able to carry any electric wheelchairs or scooters, although these are often 

available to hire at the destination. 

HOLIDAY CANCELLATION 

If we have to cancel a holiday this is always done well in advance of your 

departure date and a full refund is given. 

Due to the contract obligations and financial commitments we have with hotels 

if you have to cancel your holiday you will have to pay cancellation charges. 

These are based on the following scale depending on how close to departure 

we receive your cancellation. 

More than 42 days – Deposit only 

42-28 days – 30% 

27-14 days – 45% 

13-7 days – 60% 

Less than 7 days – 100% 

However, if you do cancel more than 42 days before your departure date we will 

transfer your deposit less a £10 per person administration fee to another holiday 

currently available. 

We do advise you to take out travel insurance to cover any of your loses.
