District 31 raises nearly $25K at annual benefit

The District 31 Education
Foundation’s annual
Winter Benefit, held in late
February at Fields Chrysler
Jeep Dodge RAM in
Glenview, included casino
games, silent and
live auctions, music and
food brought in from area
restaurants.
The more than 100 donated
items included football
hall of fame weekend
packages, high-end dinner
packages, Lollapalooza
tickets, diner with egendary
NFL coach Marv Levy
and his wife and a night at
the Timber Ridge Water-
Park resort.
More than 200 parents
and staff attended
and helped raise between
$22,000-$25,000. Funds
will benefit both Winkelman
Elementary and Field
Middle Schools. One of
the immediate purchases
will be new outdoor playgrounds
for both schools
that will be installed this
summer. The existing
playgrounds will be dismantled
and donated to
