Stony Stratford Memory Club offers support for anyone<br />

experiencing memory or related problems. If you live in<br />

your own home in the community and are managing<br />

with intermittent assistance from others it’s for you.<br />

Anyone who has dementia, with symptoms of cognitive<br />

impairment and wants to be as self-reliant as possible is<br />

welcomed.<br />

Fortnightly meetings 2.30pm – 4pm, Mondays<br />

Gentle Tai Chi Exercises<br />

For people suffering with falls, dizziness, balance<br />

problems and any other mobility issues.<br />

Gentle Tai Chi exercises undertaken on chairs<br />

or with support, incorporated with mindfulness<br />

and relaxation. To help the mind, body & soul. 1st<br />

session free.<br />

Use It, Don’t Lose It!<br />

The Day Centre at Haven Court, a collection of sheltered<br />

housing bungalows in Deanshanger, could lose another<br />

community activity.<br />

To ensure its survival join the informal darts group. A new<br />

dart board was purchased by Trevor Bird in memory of a<br />

family friend and there are spare darts. A standing fan will<br />

soon be purchased as a result of other donations.<br />

This is a call for all local people, not just Deanshanger<br />

residents, to come and enjoy an informal game of<br />

darts and plenty of banter. Tea/coffee and biscuits are<br />

provided.<br />
