13 THE THOMPSONS WERE OUT IN FULL EFFECT In support of the youngest Thompson, who is destined to be a brain surgeon. Ms. Aliyah Thompson graduated with honors . She was honored among the elite of the class of 2019 When Ms. Aliyah was at the tender age of 5, she was asked what she intended to grow up to be. Her response, a doctor. I was in awe. So I took the liberty of asking ; “Okay you’re going to fix my small and large intestine?” She quickly retorted, “No Uncle Prince, I am going to take out your brain fix it and put it back in.” This response from my five year old niece blew me away. She wanted to be a brain surgeon and neurologist. As I made my way to the entrance at the auditorium, a beautiful lady in a red dress was handing out the programs, while collecting admission tickets. She asked my brother Kenny and I, who we had come to support. When he told her Aaliyah Thompson, and she replied “My premed student”, I began to cry, overwhelmed with the joy of knowing she had stuck with her original intent.
