Founder Editor “n” chief Statement
Empowering people of color to pursue their entrepreneurial
goals, however ambitious, is the central objective
of the Black Owned Business (B.O.B) Magazine.
We strive to provide to people of color of all nationalities,
cultures, races and ethnic backgrounds, all
the essential knowledge required to become successful
business owners in their endeavors.
We will present the journey of successful people as
an example for aspiring young entrepreneurs especially
minorities to follow.
We can assure our readers that we will be committed
in providing them with accurate news about successful
entrepreneurs .
We will strive to avoid all prejudice and/or favoritism,
thus advocating accurate knowledge and experiences
that will invariably lead to success.

It’s truly the healing of the nation . Fruit
and vegetables have always made our
minds and bodies work in alignment.
You will find a better way of life and a
spiritual connection with your higher
self. Health benefits are abundant and
your bowels work freely , when you
include healthy portions of high quality
foods.
Most people actually realize how good
the benefits of the foods of life are from
the trees, as accounted by the book of
Genesis. We are blessed with the food
from the trees that will ultimately give
us all the health benefits we need to
suppress all disease. All along Rastafari
have been saying these things, only to
be cast aside by close friends and family
members alike.
Most people realize that fruit and vegetables
are the only cure for binding of
the bowels,
Medical doctors will tell you always,
that your body can heal itself , if you
consistently consume fruit and vegetables
in your diet . Mucus is the only
disease within a human body, more
mucus or less mucus.
Our findings indicate that every named
disease has as its substance, mucus.
If you can’t breath you will definitely
die. When you cough, it’s because of
mucus .
Alkaline water is also the best water to
drink
No health no wealth , as according to
H.I.M. Haile Selassie I, King of Kings &
Lords of Lords. “Without a good health
everything comes to naught”.
The marijuana plant has its portion of
health benefits as well, that which is
known to those of the Rastafari faith as
herbs . Songs and poems in a plethora
of genres of music have been made for
this plant. Heavy metal king, Jimmy
Hendricks sings of purple haze.
Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer,
Sugar Minott, Prince Guzigar, Sizzla,
John Holt, Barrington Levy, and Sean
Paul, just to name a few of the many
reggae stars who have given homage for
this wonderful plant that is finally now
being used as the ultimate source of
medicine; different strains for different
complaints.

Bushman at his best! The Best of the Best 2019.
He was noted as one of the best performers.
Bushman had the crowd weeping for more hits
after hits, as he belted out his bevy of hits. The
crowd erupted. He spent only 30 minutes and
the crowd wanted more .
As they cried for more, Bushman was out of time
because the show was ended abruptly at midnight
with Super Cat ,Shabba Ranks , Alkaline
and Jameill yet to hit the stage. The crowd was
singing word for word when he unleashed “ Fire
Bun a Weak Heart “ on the Wailers Hypocrite
rhythm.
The hypocrites called it the Landlord rhythm,
named for the Half Pint song of the same name.
For all Bushman fans he will be live in Port Saint
Lucie for Blendem Productions on Fathers Day
on June 15th, 2019
There Bushman is sure to grace us with a longer
performance.
This wonderful artist with his golden voice. All

THE THOMPSONS WERE OUT IN
FULL EFFECT
In support of the youngest Thompson,
who is destined to be a brain surgeon.
Ms. Aliyah Thompson graduated with
honors . She was honored among the
elite of the class of 2019
When Ms. Aliyah was at the tender age
of 5, she was asked what she intended
to grow up to be. Her response, a doctor.
I was in awe.
So I took the liberty of asking ;
“Okay you’re going to fix my small and
large intestine?”
She quickly retorted, “No Uncle Prince,
I am going to take out your brain fix it
and put it back in.”
This response from my five year old
niece blew me away. She wanted to be
a brain surgeon and neurologist. As I
made my way to the entrance at the
auditorium, a beautiful lady in a red
dress was handing out the programs,
while collecting admission tickets. She
asked my brother Kenny and I, who we
had come to support. When he told
her Aaliyah Thompson, and she replied
“My premed student”, I began to cry,
overwhelmed with the joy of knowing
she had stuck with her original intent.

RECORDS
Best of the Best is, and has been the best thing happening
in Miami and the U.S in general for reggae
and dancehall lovers. Mr. Brooks aka Movado, was
the headliner for 2018 and now his artists, Alkaline
and Jameill of the MVP movement are headlining the
2019 staging of the show. It was massive for fan and
they went crazy, screaming for more of the artists!
The show ended on time as promised. Best of the Best
did it again! Year after year the promoters of this
wonderful event always deliver on their promises. All
artists were on point.
Women back stage and in the VIP area were very
obviously enchanted by the headlining artists.

A candid conversation between two Dancehall superstars that survived the rivalry of politics in Jamaica and manage to
live above it all. A great blessing for them both to share an international stage. Super Cat requested unity to create
the narrative of a certain talking points in regards to the Jamaican reggae artists unclaimed billions in France and the
rest of the world at large .. Cat suggested that the music needs three entertainment lawyers versed in Intellectual
Property Law. This, he feels, is necessary to file claims for those monies, plus an accounting firm to audit the auditor
and an independent lawyer to be a watch dog over those three lawyers. This way we all can be protected and be
paid; the lawyers, accountants and most of all the artists, who have suffered over the years , sacrificing blood sweat
and tears to make this music. Sizeable royalties are waiting to be claimed and the industry overall lacks proper representation.
King Shabba agreed, pointing out that as the “Reggae Emperor “, it is his solemn duty to look into this argument
brought to him by the Don Dadda Super Cat who is a clean hearted Entertainer from Kingston Ja. With consideration
for his huge stake in this claim, Shabba in return has asked the Don Dadda for help with all the work that has

After a regal dancehall performance at Best of the Best 2019 King Shabba greeted his

place covering the event. When he appeared the crowd erupted, the King truly delivered
as always X-Rated, Bedroom Bully ,Trailer Load, Twice My Age...The two time Grammy

After he “mash up” the place musically
the General took a special time
out to scan through B.O.B. Magazine,
the cover of which he himself graced
in November of last Year. The General’s
performance was exceptional
and had the women “calling for the
pianist and when I hold you tonight”,
As usual he proved to Miami that he
is still the General
When he called for the ladies they
responded with rousing loud applause.
For a performer who has not been to
Miami for such a long time, the
crowd was well pleased and satisfied.
One of many reasons Best of the Best
will always be a memorial weekend.
The top show from now and forever.
The 13th. anniversary was carefully
put together by the concert organizers
. Media people were treated very
well as is the custom and the crowd
was well controlled. VIP was up! Up!

Mikki Ras, born Taron Wilson in the parish of Clarendon
Jamaica, is a cultural reggae artiste known for
his melodic voice and the conscious lyrical content
of his music. Mikki Ras attended the Garvey Maceo
High School and then went on to Portmore Community
College, majoring in Accounting. While attending
school he attracted attention to his vocal abilities by
performing at numerous School Concerts, and
Talent Competitions throughout the Island. Despite
his strong academic records, Mikki Ras’s love for
music proved to be irresistible and he chose to pursue
a career in the music. In 2007 Mikki Ras recorded
his first official single titled “For Me” . The single
was aired on local Radio
Stations also in Europe, United
States, Canada and the Caribbean. Following the
success of his new single, Mikki Ras was able to
perform at some of Jamaica’s biggest concerts and
popular weekly events Like “Weddy Weddy” Island
Explosion and was also gearing up for a tour with
Beres Hammond in the United States.
Mikki Ras’s inspiration came from artiste such as
Bob Marley, Prince & the gangsters, now (Prince &
the Guzigars), Beres Hammond, Sizzla and Luga. He
has
performed with artiste such as Freddie McGregor,
Movado, Cocoa Tea, Sizzla, Beres Hammond and

Capleton to name a few. In 2012
Mikki Ras received a “Best New
Artist” Award from the Clarendon
Music Awards for his single “Crying
to the System” which peaked at
number one on several radio
stations in England and The United
States of America. Mikki Ras first
international solo tour in 2013 had
him performing in California, New
Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Toronto
Canada he was well received
and his fan base grew tremendously.
