A MAJOR dust-up (puns entirely intended)<br />
in the build-up to the local body elections<br />
(see page 1).<br />
The protagonists are Phil Mauger and the<br />
sitting councillor Glenn Livingstone, who<br />
both want the Burwood Ward seat. Only<br />
one can get it.<br />
Mauger has used his clean-up of some of the shingle pile<br />
opposite The Bower near the New Brighton Rd/Wainoni Rd<br />
roundabout as an electioneering platform.<br />
That of course has been picked up by the <strong>Pegasus</strong> <strong>Post</strong>, which<br />
has got reaction from Livingstone, who not surprisingly says it is<br />
electioneering.<br />
That in turn has led to a sharp retort from Mauger, who<br />
appears to be tiring by the constant reference to the fact he<br />
doesn’t live in the ward.<br />
