Bush Clematis
Bush Clematis should not be confused
with Vining Clematis, as the two
plants behave quite differently in
the landscape. Unlike their vining
cousins, Bush Clematis are
completely herbaceous
and die back to the
ground each year.
While they do require some
support, they will not vine within
a trellis or grow to the height of
traditional Vining Clematis. Growers
who do choose to grow Bush Clematis
will be rewarded with a longer season
of bloom and easier to grow plants,
among other benefits.
