Summer 2019

Dear Parents,
As we are about to break up for the summer we say goodbye to a number of colleagues who are
moving on to pastures new and I wish them all the best for the future in their new roles. A special
mention must go to Mrs Elisabeth Wall who is retiring from teaching MFL after 29 years of service
to our community and to Mrs Carole Beagle who has also worked at CtK for 29 years ensuring
that the school is kept clean and safe for our students. They have both worked extremely hard to
support the needs of our students and I wish a long and happy retirement to them both. I am
looking forward to welcoming some new colleagues in September and I hope that they will have
a very successful career here at CtK.
May I remind you that the new term will begin on Wednesday 4th September for Year 7 and the
Sixth Form, all other students will start on Thursday 5th.
Thank you for all your support this year. I hope that you have a very happy summer break and I
look forward to seeing you all in September.

ICE Students reach Boccia Finals!
Well done to the students from ICE who qualified for the School Games Finals in Boccia
after beating other secondary schools in the Gedling area. The students played extremely well in
the finals at NTU Clifton Campus and managed to come third in their group. They did CTK proud,
well done to them all!
