Prehistoric Pictures

Museum's woodland area and collect
materials to create a large, natural art-attack
of a prehistoric scene. Get inspired by also
handling some specimens. Suitable for ages

Farmers' and Craft Market

stalls which sell seasonal fruit and veg, meats,
fish, cheese, pies, pickles, cakes, plants and
crafts all directly from local growers and
producers.
Cassiobury Farm Open Day

10am-5pm. Come and visit the rare breeds at
Cassiobury Farm, also visit the kitchen garden
and buy local artisan produce at the farm
shop. Lots of fun for the kids . . . bouncy castle,
face painting, fishing, crazy golf, mini-tractor
rides, pedalos and animal encounters. Come
and enjoy lunch on the meadow from our

Primate and Rainforest Weekend

Rainforest weekend there will be promotions,

Learn about Wellington’s Army

the Napoleonic era. Meet Napoleonic soldiers
and find out about the life of a Rifleman in
Wellington’s army during the Peninsular
War. Visit the living history encampment and
learn how the soldiers’ families lived. Watch a
thrilling display of military skill as the soldiers
skirmish (please note that this will include

Rock at the Castle

spectacular grounds of Hertford Castle. Live
music will be performed across three music
stages featuring acoustic, folk, indie, rock and
pop music. There will also be a bouncy castle,

Tiger Day

many years helping to raise over £60,000 for
tiger conservation projects across the globe.
The event is packed with fun games, presentations,

Rye Meadlings

10.30am-12noon. Rye Meadlings is a group
for parents and toddlers held on the 1st and
3rd Monday of every month. Sessions are
hands-on and sensory to encourage child led
exploration and natural play. Activities may
include water play, mud kitchen time, bug
hunting, bird spotting, pond dipping, games,
crafts, storytelling and more. Aimed at children
from 18 months to under 5, with younger
siblings not participating in activities welcome
for free. Parents get a free hot drink for each
paying child they bring

make their own Dora The Explorer binoculars
using glitter and stickers, plus interactive
storytelling, mini games and soft play. These
play sessions are held on the first Monday
of every month. Each event will include
access to a soft play area, interactive games
and story telling sessions. There’s also the
chance to get involved in some themed craft
sessions, where little ones can get hands-on
with creating their own masterpieces to take
home. Age guide: 1-5.
