Carlos Grandon
DIRECTOR AND FOUNDER
gerencia@grupoenergy.cl
Carlos has more than 15 years of experience in the area of Study and
execution of projects in the mining, cellulose and petrochemical areas. Since
2012 he has worked in the development and construction of Wind Farms and
Solar Plants.
What products or services does your company deliver and to what kind(s) of
NCREs?
Services of construction of solar plants, marketing and sale of clean energies. We
have a highly qualified team, which keeps safety and construction standards to
meet our investors and customers’ requirements.
What are the main projects -or themes- you have been recently working on
concerning NCRE or the environment? In case they are generation plans, where
are they located and which are their main characteristics?
We have the Quillón Solar Plant and Santa Elvira in the Metropolitan Region, both
of 3 MW, in a pre-construction stage in the Biobío Region. We are also working in
the engineering of Quillón 2 Solar Plant, also in Biobío (3-9 MW), and the
Grupoenergy II and III plants, in the Metropolitan Region, both of 3 MW.
Which elements characterize and/or distinguish your company?
Our commitment with the environment will become evident once our Solar Plant
Pipeline enters operation, advocating for a clean energy consumption, free of
polluting emissions.
How important is NCRE participation in the Chilean electric system?
If we aim at the Chilean matrix decarbonization by 2040, as desired by our
government, we must incorporate only NCRE from now on. We are one of the
most vulnerable countries to climate change and we believe it is time to promote
and put into practice zero-CO2 policies.
Why would you recommend being an ACERA member?
Being a member of ACERA gives us the opportunity to promote the development
of NCRE projects, the care for the environment, being up-to-date on current
regulations related to renewable energies, transmission systems, environmental
processings, among others, having an opinion concerning debates, and taking
part in committees, in addition to promoting a clean-energy power matrix.
Which have been the latest new services or changes introduced by your
Company?
In addition to the development of our own PMGD projects, we formed a working
team for social development under the PPPF modality with SERVIU and municipal
entities.
What are the main projects -or themes- you have been recently working on
concerning NCRE or the environment? In case they are generation plans, where
are theylocatedand which are their main characteristics?
We have started the inspection work at a photovoltaic plant in the Limache sector.
We are also doing electrical line reviews in the Huasco–Vallenar sector.
Nelson Bahamonde
GENERAL MANAGER
nbahamonde@ingecopspa.cl
Nelson is Chilean, married and has three children. He is a civil engineer with
12 years of experience in inspections of sanitary works, infrastructure and
energy.
What products or services does your company deliver and to what kind(s) of
NCREs?
Our company has always been distinguished by trying to be at the forefront of
technology as a support to our inspections. We have recently incorporated
state-of-the-art industrial drones, with thermal cameras, for the energy area.
Which are the latest new services or changes introduced by your Company?
One of our latest innovations is the implementation of industrial drones, with
German technology.
Which elements characterize and/or distinguish your company?
We are one of the pioneers in this type of inspections, with projections both
nationally and internationally. Publicizing and implementing these services,
minimizing costs, increasing inspection times with high levels of accuracy and
digital backups, and, most of all, zeroing accident risks of workers.
How important is NCRE participation in the Chilean electric system?
I believe that the decision of the State of Chile of moving, in the short term,
towards decarbonisation, makes NCRE the present and future challenge of
generating companies, opening up the possibilities of investment in our country to
international companies, since Chile’s geographical conditions, mainly in solar
energy, make it a very attractive pole. There is no doubt that, at the pace of
progress, clean energies will become the main source of generation in the next 10
years.
Why would you recommend being an ACERA member?
I recommend being an ACERA partner, as they are an ideal platform to show our
work and make our inspection vision widespread.
