Ò Felix Geolagon Felix was born in Pilar, Bohol. He finished his secondary education from Villaroma College in Paco, Manila and then graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Commerce major in Marketing from Arellano University Manila. He was a working student during his college years by getting a job as waiter in Taverna Restaurant in Ermita, Manila. At present, he is employed as carer. Felix is active in Filipino Australian community organisations. He is one of the directors of Concerned Citizens for Over 50’s and is a Bronze Legacy supporter of NARRA Co-operative Ltd. He enjoys singing and dancing. He is a proud father of his only daughter who is also residing in Sydney. Ò Colin J Lay Engr Colin J Lay was born and raised in England, had his early education at Glyn County Grammar School, Epsom and graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Brunel University London. Before retirement, Colin worked at Advisian, Scott Lister, TfNSW Transport Projects Division, Railcorp, State Rail Authority of NSW, Rail Infrastructure Corporation, Rail Access Corporation, Halcrow Group, Transmark and British Rail. He is happily married to Rose Lay and have one handsome son, Alistair. A devoted husband and father, Colin loves watching TV and the company of friends karaokeing and dancing. Ò Reonell Galang Luz Reonell, the eldest of five children, was born in Manila and grew up in the UP Diliman Campus and had his elementary and high school education at UPIS. He enrolled in Philippine School of Business Administration but shifted to learn basic electrical skills in Meralco Foundation. He migrated to Australia in 2000 and took Certificate Courses in Information Technology and Office Administration in TAFE. At present he works in Daikin Australia as team leader in manufacturing. He is a person who learns fast and works without too much supervision. In 2018, he was sent by Daikin in Thailand and was one of the speakers in the workshop. His son, Princeton, is not only academically number 1 in Ateneo Grade School Year 9, but also topped in competitions in math, science, public speaking and writing. A devout Catholic, he serves as acolyte at Sunday mass in Dela Strada Q.C, Reonell guides his son despite their distance. As a son and a brother, Reonell is generous and caring. He enjoys watching movies and sports and has great interest in history. He is an active member of the Alliance of Philippine Community Organisations, Inc.
Ò Efren Herrera Padagas Efren Padagas was born in Marikina City, Philippines. He studied BS Fine Arts at Far Eastern University ( FEU ). He is married to Carmelita Padagas and they are happily blessed with two kids named Kimberly 11 years old and Edward 8 years old. Efren and family migrated in Australia in 2005. Efren is a Graphic Artist by profession. An inborn artist, he loves to paint natures and personal portraits. He also loves Photography, Videography, Acting and Music. He’s a former character actor in the Philippines. Worked with the famous actor in the Philippines before like Rudy Fernandez, Cesar Montano, Ronaldo Valdez, Tirso Cruz III , Gabby Conception, Janno Gibs, Rosanna Roces, Vhong Navarro and many others . He continued with great success his passion in the world of entertainment in Sydney as emcee and performer in various Filipino community events. He is the Founder and Vocalist of the band Trio called the “Mega Heartz”. Efren is the PRO and the Graphic Artist of the Filipino Australian Community Association in Eastern Sydney (FACAES). Ò Domingo Reyes Perdon Domingo “Nonoy” Perdon is father of two grown up children both born and grew up in Sydney. He migrated to Sydney in 1981 and has been the publisher of the community newspaper Bayanihan News since 1998. Together with the late brother writer and historian Renato Perdon, he has been active chronicler of the growth of the Philippine-Australian community in Sydney including the promotion of Philippine culture and history in the Filipino diaspora in Australia. He finished B.S. Journalism in Manila. Nonoy also serves as volunteer assistant pastor in a Filipino-Australian Christian congregation for many years. He is married to Belinda a hospital nurse. In addition to being a publisher, Nonoy also serves as writer, photographer and news reporter for his community publication, actively networking with the community’s newsmakers and advocacies, and overseas sources of Philippine news and stories. Ò Bob Reyes Bob Reyes is an accomplished graphic design artist and business owner with more than 25 years of experience providing graphic design, desktop publishing and multimedia services to the government, private companies and non-profit organisations. His Sydney-based business, Alkei Type & Graphics Pty Ltd, is one of the leading graphic design and multimedia services provider (photography and video) in NSW, for various Ethnic-Australian community associations. Prior to moving to Australia in the late 1980s, Bob worked as a graphic designer in the Middle East (Iran and Bahrain) and ran a graphic design business in the Central Business District of Makati in Manila, Philippines. Having carved a successful career in graphic design, he is also a much sought-after professional multimedia editor, photographer and videographer using only the latest software technologies, and video production equipment. Bob studied Advertising Arts at the prestigious University of Santo Tomas (UST) College of Architecture & Fine Arts in the Philippines as well as Television and Video Production at Tehran Technical College in Iran.
