Black Country

One. The stay in Division One was very brief a single season (2010/11) in
which they won the Division by nine points over Wellington Amateurs
losing just three games in the whole season.
The club had their most successful season ever in 2011/12 after being
promoted into the West Midlands (Regional) Premier Division finishing
runners up to champions Gornal Athletic losing out by 3 points over a 42-
game season, in which Black Country scored 158 goals more than three
and a half goals a game. At the end of the same season Black Country
Rangers won the sought after J.W. Hunt Cup beating the previous
seasonʼs winners AFC Wulfrunians 4-3.
Success continued in the following season, not doing so well in the
League finishing fifth, but the team retained the J.W. Hunt Cup, this time
beating Wolverhampton Casuals 4-3.
In recent years the club has had to move home many times, playing at
Cradley Town for a while, but at the beginning of the 2016/17 season,
they moved to The Grove, home of Halesowen Town, where they played
for two seasons, before being forced to move to Gornal Athletic at short
notice for the beginning of last season.
This season once again the club has moved its base, this time to York
Road, Rowley Regis, the new home of Division One side Bustleholme
The club has remained in the Premier Division for eight seasons, in which
time the club has finished second, fourth, fifth (twice) and their worst
finish was in 2015/16 finishing 15th out of 22 teams
This summer apart from moving to a new home, a new manager was
appointed former Walsall, Stourbridge and Worcester City midfielder
Sean Geddes. Geddes has been building a new squad for the forthcoming
season.
