<strong>ASSITEJ</strong> Believes that every person from birth to adulthood<br />

has the right to access the arts, as cultural citizens whose<br />

perspectives are vital to the understanding of the richness of<br />

cultural diversity. We believe that art for young audiences is<br />

a vital part of the arts ecology, and that it has tremendous<br />

significance and benefit in terms of the lifelong development of<br />

every human being.<br />

<strong>ASSITEJ</strong> Unites theatres, organizations, and individuals<br />

throughout the world dedicated to Theatre for Children and<br />

Young People. The Global <strong>ASSITEJ</strong> community is made up of<br />

National Centers, Individual Members, and Networks, spread<br />

throughout more than 100 countries.<br />

<strong>ASSITEJ</strong> Promotes an international exchange of knowledge and<br />

practice in theatre in order to increase creative cooperation and<br />

to deepen mutual understanding between all persons involved in<br />

the performing arts for young audience.<br />
