Banking & Finance Ithmaar Bank upgrading systems to further boost customer experience Ahmed Abdul Rahim CEO, Ithmaar Bank Ithmaar Bank, plans for a major upgrade that will improve its customers’ banking experience. The upgrade, part of Ithmaar Bank’s far-reaching digital initiatives, aims to maintain the Bank’s leading position in terms of innovation and technology. The announcement follows the formal appointment of one of the world’s leading banking solutions experts to help implement a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform upgrade that will put the Bank’s customer service capabilities among the best in the world. The sophisticated new Microsoft Dynamics CRM solution will enhance customers’ banking experience and help introduce new, customer-focused solutions in line with banking industry trends towards increasing personalisation, security and mobility, as well as customer engagement. Ahmed Abdul Rahim, CEO Ithmaar Bank said, “The new CRM will help us to serve our customers faster, better and smarter. It will allow for automated responses, intimate personalisation and, most importantly, an immediate 360 view of customers. This, in turn, will allow us to anticipate customer needs even before they are articulated. The implementation of this innovative enterprise-wide CRM solution will also improve how we handle customer feedback, which will help us serve our customers better,” said Abdul Rahim. VeriPark Gulf FZE, which specializes in providing CRM as well as Omni-Channel Platform, Branch Automation CrediMax join eazyNet and PIE CrediMax B.S.C (c) and Eazy Financial Services B.S.C (c) (Eazy) recently signed MoU paving the way to join “eazyNet” the World’s First Biometric Payment Network. Yousif Ali Mirza, Chief Executive of CrediMax said, “The provision of the biometric payment Network “eazyNet” will empower our cardholders to a safer more convenient and secure way to conduct all their transactions and purchases through point of sale (PoS) terminals and other payment acceptance channels using their fingerprint. We look forward to elevating our cardholder’s shopping experience to the next level.” Dr. Nayef Tawfiq Al Alawi, Managing Director, Chief Executive of Eazy commented, “We are very excited to work with CrediMax to facilitate our customers with a seamless Biometric payment experience throughout the largest POS terminal in the kingdom, away from both plastic cards and mobile phones. Payments will never be the same again!” CrediMax and Payment International Enterprise (PIE) have recently partnered up to allow MaxWallet QR payments and Loyalty Management solutions to financial institutions around the world, is the leading Microsoft partner globally for Microsoft Dynamics CRM in the banking, finance and insurance industries. Ithmaar Bank appointed VeriPark to help implement the CRM upgrade as well as other customer-focused systems that will help the Bank improve its efficiency and productivity. MaxWallet is one of many digital payment solutions offered by CrediMax with the sole aim of enhancing payment process to minimal time for both our Merchants and Cardholders. ” Fawaz Ghazal, CEO of PIE commented, “Our tie up with CrediMax will accelerate and facilitate a greater flow of payments, and offer additional choices for innovative payment services.” CBB issues rules on Insurance aggregators The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) issued the final rules on “insurance aggregators”. The introduction of insurance aggregator rules is a first step for the CBB towards “Insuretech”, a technology led transformation of the insurance sector which is rapidly gathering momentum globally. The CBB is one of few central banks to have introduced rules relating to insurance aggregators to further enhance the position of Bahrain as a leading fintech hub in the MENA region,” said Abdul Rahman Al Baker, Executive Director of Financial Institutions Supervision. Insurance aggregators are intermediaries with an insurance broker’s license who operate an online platform, whether hosted on an Internet website or available as a smart device application (app) which provides price comparisons and facilitates the purchase of insurance policies from several insurance licensees. With the introduction of insurance aggregators, a customer is able to find and choose insurance quotes from several insurance companies under a single electronic platform or mobile device application, instead of obtaining quotes individually, and purchase an insurance policy online from an insurance company.
