BCFC launched
Sustainable
Energy finance
initiative in
Bahrain
Bahrain Commercial
Facilities Company
(BFTC) recently launched the
Sustainable Energy Finance
Initiative (The Sun) for the first
time in Bahrain, marking the
importance of encouraging the
use of clean energy because of
its positive impact on reducing
the costs of using traditional
electricity and contribute for a
cleaner environment.
Dr. Adel Hubail, CEO of
Bahrain Commercial Facilities
Company commented, "The
new financial scheme is based
on the "Tenant-to-Owned"
system, which provides an
opportunity for the business
sector to benefit directly and
effectively from the installation
of solar power systems in
return for a monthly rent,
which is determined by the
size of electricity generated
and available space in each
building that allows the
installation of solar panels on
it. He noted that it is hoped that
this product helps to reduce
costs immediately up to 20%
of the total consumption of
conventional electricity.”
The new financial product
targets owners of all types
of companies and property
owners and houses in the
Kingdom of Bahrain, and
will provide a range of free
services, including site study,
the actual consumption of
electricity calculation. Upon
completion of the research
and approval of the project,
the company will design the
optimal design to produce
maximum power as well as
installation and delivery,
with a 12 year warranty
against manufacturing
defects and 25 years of power
generation efficiency from
the leading German Munich
Reinsurance Company. The
financial scheme includes all
maintenance and insurance
expenses throughout the lease
period to ensure the most
efficient operating conditions.
Dr. Adel pointed out that
the new financing product may
be extended for seven years,
after which the system will
become all components free
property of the tenant.
He further added
"Following extensive study of
the most significant obstacles
associated with the use of
solar energy, especially the
significant initial investment
required of companies and
factories intending to adopt
solar energy, the Sustainable
Energy Finance Initiative -
The Sun, has been designed
to address the barriers that
have prevented the utilization
of solar energy up to now. We
are proud therefore to have
reached agreement with Wuxi
SUNTECH Power Co, based
on their reputation as one of
the top ten companies in the
world for manufacturing solar
panels.”
Bahrain’s Al
Jazira enhances
operational
efficiency with
WMS
Bahraini Security
firm DMARC360
partners with GCA
DMARC360, a Bahrainbased
technology startup,
announced its partnership
with the Global Cyber Alliance,
a global community dedicated
to eradicating cyber risk.
DMARC360 enhances email
deliverability with assisted
DMARC implementation
through an intelligent incident
response / reporting platform.
DMARC (Domain-based
Message Authentication,
Reporting & Conformance) is a
framework mandated by global
regulators and currently being
adopted rapidly worldwide by
public and private institutions.
The recent partnership will
enable both companies
to collaborate collectively
on research and security
measures.
Email has been the main
channel of communication for
organizations to reach out to
partners, clients, prospects..
etc. Implementing DMARC
and reaching a full compliance
level ensures safer inboxes
globally and promotes a
Al Jazira, a Bahraini retailer
and fast-moving consumer
goods (FMCG) distributor, is
System) by Infor, to help boost
operational efficiency and gain
visibility of its inventory.
Al Jazira is expanding
initiatives is to ensure DMARC
compliance across all sectors
within the region and enable
the Middle East to become a
leader in this space.
”It gives us great pride to
be one of the first startups in
the region to partner up with
GCA; I’m sure this will be a
long-standing partnership
that will aid and impact all
organizations and individuals
across the globe.” - Abdullah
Mirza, Director of Strategy at
DMARC360.
The Global Cyber Alliance
(GCA) is an international
cross-sector initiative that
focuses on eliminating cyber
risk and increasing overall
safety in cyberspace. Their key
activities include uniting global
communities to implement
safe solutions for both
individuals and organizations
and finally measure and ensure
optimum effectiveness. Aside
from DMARC360, their current
partnership network spans
across 18 sectors and over 25
countries, uniting like-minded
cyber professionals and
communities.
senior management team
realized that the company
needed to automate its
warehouse and gain full
visibility of its inventory to
achieve greater operational
efficiency and oversight,
and to improve inventory
management.
With the help of Infor
CloudSuite WMS, Al Jazira
will gain greater visibility into
inventory, orders, equipment,
and staff. This will increase the
company’s ability to manage
stock more efficiently while
providing greater insights into
the performance of individual
products and offerings, and
helping the company to
develop strategic plans more
