The answer can now be found at a comfortable destination, conveniently located in the heart of Greenwood Village called Wine and Design. This newly renovated art studio is nestled in The Orchards shopping center and is not your average open floor “Paint and Sip” location. Modern aesthetic, tasteful decoration and great attention to detail went into completing the overall look and feel of the space and the new owners are ready for business. Greenwood Village residents, Erica and Charles McKiever, are excited to share their vision of how a franchise model can be elevated to fit the community they live in and raise their family. They have decided to combine their individual work experience and backgrounds in art therapy and business and bring Colorado’s first Wine and Design location to the city they call home. The focus of the venture was to create a unique and welcoming environment, where fun experiences and lasting memories can literally be made for all who walk through the doors. Opening Colorado’s very first Wine and Design franchise location added to the pressures of starting a new business, but the McKievers are confident their efforts will offer the best value and deliver the highest quality experience. There are a wide range of options for both private and public sessions and parties available to choose from 7 days a week. Most of the painting classes are held during the evening and over the weekend, but afternoon hours will be offered as well. Daytime classes will sometimes include “Open Paint” opportunities for customers to come in and paint without instruction and “Art Buzz Kids” camps will be offered during school or summer breaks. The art studio is an ideal setting for private parties, date nights, family outings and celebrations or special events of any occasion. Wine and Design provides all the painting supplies along with instruction and guidance by local artists during each class and session. There is a stocked bar serving beer and wine as well as non-alcoholic beverages to get the creative juices flowing. The owners have also expanded the business outside the franchise model of painting to include the option of working with pottery. A ceramics room located in the back of the studio is home to a brand-new kiln with the ability to fire painted pieces in-house. This interesting feature and addition to the business truly distinguishes the Greenwood Village location from all other “paint and sip” concepts around town. One of the most attractive features of Wine and Design is the ability to get groups together in a flexible manner and customize the programs or classes around the party or client. This allows the customer to provide input, ideas and direction with each desired celebration or experience. Erica is a big believer and advocate for the positive benefits that painting and creating art can provide, she feels that these benefits can reach a very broad audience and leave lasting impressions. Companies and businesses can now take advantage of this creative outlet as a way to bring a team together and strengthen bonds outside of the traditional office setting. The art studio’s layout has a flexible quality which helps provide options for teaching demonstrations and various seating arrangements. The studio floor is open allowing for larger groups to paint and create while a smaller corner in the back is available that can be screened off with frosted-glass pocket doors. This cozy area provides privacy and seclusion for those seeking a more intimate setting. The multi-functional component and creative use of space further exemplifies why the new location stands out amongst all others.
