NICOLA GRIGG looks a good fit for
retiring Selwyn MP Amy Adams (see pages
9,10,11).
Adams and her National predeccesors
have had a stranglehold on the electorate
for a long, long time.
Grigg may have more challenges with the recent boundary
changes and the changing demographic in the Selwyn district.
But she’s odds-on to retain the seat for National in next year’s
election, in my humble - and unbiased - view anyway.
Grigg popped into the office last week. She’s a very affable
individual, with a good brain, good sense of humour and she
knows the political system, inside and out.
She was also a journalist in a previous life, before being press
secretary for Bill English.
So she must be good!
