Chilliwack Creative Commission<br />
The City of Chilliwack is located in the Upper Fraser Valley<br />
and is known for its natural beauty as well as its urban and<br />
rural charm. Chilliwack is just an hour drive from downtown<br />
Vancouver, 50-minutes from Bellingham, WA and only two<br />
hours from Seattle, WA.<br />
Chilliwack is known for its rivers, farmlands, roads, rural<br />
settings and urban attributes including its identifiable Main<br />
Street, which all combine into great locations for directors and<br />
producers who are looking to film in Chilliwack. The Cascade<br />
mountain range and vast farmland provide a majestic backdrop<br />
for Chilliwack’s rural setting. Chilliwack is perfect for filming<br />
features, movies of the week, television series and<br />
commercials.<br />

Chilliwack also has a number of facilities such as the<br />
Chilliwack Airport, the Chilliwack Cultural Centre and Heritage<br />
Park. Heritage Park is a great option for an alternative studio<br />
location with ample parking and easy access to the<br />
Trans-Canada Highway.<br />
A number of feature films and television series have filmed<br />
in Chilliwack such as Super Natural, World on Fire, Eureka<br />
seasons I - IV, Smallville, Partition, The Shack, Dungeon<br />
Siege, The Last Mimzy and White Chicks. Chilliwack also<br />
serves as a film location for commercials such as Brookside<br />
Chocolates, Kohl’s Department Store, Ford Mustang,<br />
Volkswagen Touareg, Molson Canadian, Walmart, A&W<br />
Restaurants, and Tim Hortons.<br />
Chilliwack offers accommodations, facilities, and<br />
infrastructure required by the film industry. The Chilliwack<br />
Creative Commission will assist you in finding a location as<br />
well as obtaining all the necessary information and<br />
arrangements required before arriving. We will also help<br />
facilitate the application and permit processes by acting as a<br />
liaison between the City of Chilliwack and other appropriate<br />
government agencies. You will find that the Chilliwack Creative<br />
Commission is your one-stop filming centre.<br />
