Downtown Squamish is so versatile that it has been dressed<br />

to look like small town USA from Alaska to California to New<br />

England! Locations galore are available, ranging from city<br />

hall to the fire hall and police station, ferry docks, marinas<br />

and diners!<br />

Squamish Municipal Council’s priority is to support the film<br />

industry. A central one-stop service to meet all your needs<br />

is in place at city hall to assist production companies.<br />

Arrangements from business licenses to traffic control to a<br />

hydrant permit can be coordinated through our film liaison.<br />

Knowledgeable and friendly staff will assist scouts with<br />

regulation and licensing requirements, coordination of municipal<br />

and property or services request, suggestions for film and<br />

circus locations, and identification of property owners.<br />

To ensure positive experiences for you and for the community,<br />

the District works with the production company during prep and<br />

shooting. The District of Squamish has developed a<br />

reputation as a “film friendly” community – come work and play<br />

in the “Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada”.<br />
