Powell River - The Pearl on the Sunshine Coast<br />
Powell River is located on the mainland at the top of the<br />
Sunshine Coast, 135 kilometers north of Vancouver, nestled<br />
between the magnificent coastal mountains and the Pacific<br />
Ocean. A short 25 minute flight from Vancouver makes Powell<br />
River easily accessible.<br />
The area is known for its year-round breathtaking sunsets,<br />
mountain vistas, temperate rainforests and pristine lakes and<br />
beaches. Clear and sheltered waters have also made Powell<br />
River famous as one of the primary diving destinations in<br />

Powell River’s Townsite, British Columbia’s only National<br />
Historic District, is a remarkably preserved example of a<br />
single-industry, company-built town from the early <strong>20</strong>th<br />
century. With some 400 Craftsman style homes, and 30<br />
institutional and commercial structures dating between<br />
1910 and 1930.<br />
