Ontario, Canada This ultra-private Club was opened for play in 2007 and is located on the beautiful glacial moraine to the north of Toronto. With the bunkers being in need of renovation, the opportunity was taken to roughen up their edges. The other proposal which may be taken forward in the future is to create extensive sand areas throughout the course. The 11th hole has seen a trial of this and the results are very promising.
Ontario, Canada Members of Hamilton G&CC approved the implementation of the Golf Course Improvement Plan just weeks before the Club hosted the <strong>2019</strong> RBC Canadian Open in early June. A couple of days were spent at the Club during the tournament and the course received excellent reviews from the players. Harry Colt designed the 18 holes over which this year’s championship was first played at HGCC in 1919. The plan is to rebuild and reshape the greens and to restore a more naturalised style of bunkering which Colt described on his originals plans that reside in the clubhouse. Construction started in October and will be continuous throughout 2020 and part of 2021 until all 27 holes are completed. Members will be able to use 18 holes of the course with temporary greens on occasions during the project.
