and reorder countless scattered discoveries, ending the age of alchemy.
These explorers lacked the common language needed to truly form the
united will of discovery. Without this, these alchemists compensated
with references to mysticism and religious spirituality. As a result,
their work is often viewed under skeptic lenses, treated not as
the progenitors of modern science, but as blind visionaries
seeking the unattainable.
