7 DAY BOTSWANA KALAHARI PANS TOUR:<br />
9-15 April en 27-3 Mei <strong>2020</strong><br />
Meet and greet at Sekoma, no later than 14:00 the day beforeour tour starts.<br />
DAY 1, 207km<br />
SEKOMA - HEINIES PAN<br />
Leave our wild camp at Sekoma at 08:00. We get our permits at Kokotsa and turn of the<br />
tar road to travel on thick sand. We let<br />
our tyres down to 1.5 bar and enjoy the Kalahari sand driving. Tonight, we sleep at Heinie’s pan. Dinner <strong>is</strong><br />
served at 18:00 as we enjoy the<br />
Botswana sunset.<br />
DAY 2, 52km<br />
HEINIE’S PAN - JACKS PAN<br />
Today we have a full Kalahari breakfast. We leave at 12:00 pm and enjoy the thick sand<br />
driving, looking for game as we drive.<br />
We braai tonight. Jack’s pan <strong>is</strong><br />
known for the Bat Eared foxes and Bateleur Eagle’s.<br />
DAY 3, 142km<br />
JACK’S PAN - WILD CAMP 1<br />
We serve breakfast and leave at 9:00 am. We drive of the cutline of Mabuasehube<br />
Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. We leave<br />
the KD12 area for the KD2 WMA area.<br />
DAY 4, 120km WILD CAMP<br />
1 - ZONYE PAN<br />
Early start at 7:00 am as today’s drive <strong>is</strong> not far, but we<br />
are going to v<strong>is</strong>it two other pans. Peach<br />
pan and Bushy pan. The drive <strong>is</strong> a nice<br />
one and we get to see Springbuck, Eland, Blouwildebeest and some Ostrich. Dinner <strong>is</strong> served at 18:00.<br />
DAY 5, 45km ZONYE PAN - KAA PAN<br />
Full Kalahari breakfast and we leave at 11:00 am. Another beautiful day’s driving with open<br />
Savannah fields and huge thorn trees. Be<br />
on the lookout for the Honey badger, also known as the Ratel. We will drive pass Jeff Morr<strong>is</strong> pan today.<br />
DAY 6, 55km KAA PAN’S - BUSH CAMP<br />
We spend the morning driving the KAA pans and taking<br />
pictures. We leave at 11:00 am after brunch<br />
to our bush camp. Another interesting<br />
Kalahari sand road with some nice sociable weaver nests.<br />
DAY 7, 221km BUSH CAMP - KANG<br />
Early start as today <strong>is</strong> our last day in the<br />
Kalahari and we enjoy our last morning together. We pass the very interesting town of Hukuntsi<br />
were we will fill up with fuel. We will<br />
have dinner at Kang’s restaurant. We<br />
greet and say goodbye to our friends
