Johnson, Fats Waller, and Duke Ellington, andincludes original compositions. Parish Washboard’soriginality and unique sound emanates from justfour instruments: clarinet, trombone, piano, andwashboard. They bring something new to a jazzstyle that originated in the earliest years of thegenre. According to organizers, Paris Washboardis peerless in the traditional jazz world and hasexperienced worldwide success since 1988.The show is made possible by funds from theCamden County Cultural & Heritage Commissionat Camden County College, a partner of the NewJersey State Council on the Arts. Buy tickets atthe door only. Member admission is $10; generaladmission is $20. If you start a new, first-time Tri-State Jazz Society annual membership for $20 at thedoor, you get free admission to this concert. Fulltimestudents with ID and children accompaniedby a paying adult are free. Dancing is welcome atall performances.
