‘Hello, Dolly’ on HMHS stage
The Haddonfield Memorial High School Drama
Club will present the beloved classic Hello, Dolly!
Fri Mar 6 thru Sat 14, featuring a cast and crew of
more than 80 students.
Hello, Dolly! is based on Thornton Wilder’s play
The Matchmaker and features music and lyrics by
Jerry Herman and a book by Michael Stewart. It is
the story of turn-of-the-century matchmaker Dolly
Gallagher Levi, who, after arranging relationships
for others, decides to have an adventure of her own.
This blockbuster Broadway hit dazzles with
humor, romance, and some of the most glorious
songs in musical theatre history, including “Put On
Your Sunday Clothes,” “Before the Parade Passes
By,” and the title song, “Hello, Dolly!”
“This is such a joyful, fun, innocent, and
entertaining show,” said director Matt DiDonato.
“Hello, Dolly! shows us that life can be full of
wonderful surprises if we’re willing to take a chance.
I hope audiences will enjoy the show as much as we
have enjoyed preparing it for the stage.”
Evening performances are Fri Mar 6, Sat 7, Fri 13,
and Sat 14 at 7:30pm, and a matinee performance
is Sun Mar 8 at 2pm. Tickets cost $12, with a
discounted rate of $10 for students and seniors.
Tickets may be purchased at the door, or in advance
in the main office during school hours.
